Thought I recognised Bill Medley's voice on this track. Do I also hear what sounds very similar to The Drifters' "There Goes My Baby"? It's new to me, this one. I found it purely by chance. It's good! thanks for uplaoding, ladalowet1
Das Lied meines Erachtens nichts anderes als eine Adaption von "There goes my baby" von den Drifters. Das ist der typische Sound der Gruppe um 1959/1960. Nur ist es hier halt nachgemacht und kommt nicht an das "Original" heran.
Whoa! I knew the great Bill Medley was originally with The Paramours, but couldn't find their music anywhere, not on iTunes for sure. This song is great, classic Medley soulful sound! Anyone know where I can download this and/or other tunes by this group? Agree, some Drifters and Righteous Bros. here. Sweet.
@SRB427 I don't know if it's still in print, but this one was on the first disc of the Rhino Righteous Brothers Anthology...that's where I heard it the first time...have never heard or seen the other side of the 45, though...
Great song...always loved this one...much as I love Spector, have to admit I sort of prefer the Righteous Brothers' earlier sides...and this one probably trumps even those...nice pic too...thanks for the share
It's a shame that most oldies stations, at least that I've heard, only play the big hits. And usually only those from the later end of the oldies spectrum, at that. There are an immense number of great tunes such as this one that deserve to be aired.
the righteous brothers put out little latin lupe lu in '63, and there ain't no Bobby Hatfield in that photo, but i digress, what an amazingly emotive vocal by Bill Medley!! I believe that man believes what he's singin'.
Yes. I think there was even a copy of this issued on the Moonlight label before it was issued on Smash. Moonlight is the label that The Righteous Brothers had their early hits on before switching to Philles
@Guilleramos Look at the second from the right it's Bill Medley., I think the first on the right is Bobby Hatfield. ( RIP Bobby is in rock and roll heaven now)
Are they singing about a whale?? ...............Oh there she GOES!! I thought they were singing There she blows!! pmsl

Great sound! By any chance, do you have the flip side to this song "That's All I want Tonight"? If you do, can you please share it? Thanks.

Bobby Hatfield also sang lead with the Paramours on a song called "I need a girl", with Bill Medley doing a strong bass doo wop backround!
