What a great tutorial! I've never used any 3D animation program before and was able to build Robby in a few days. I'm experimenting with animating the robot in Bryce, Is there a way to animate the voice tubes for an on/off effect?

Thanks! YES, you can animate the voice tubes! It's a bit tricky and tedious. You have to switch the diffusion and ambience settings of their materials from what we set in the tutorial to zero (totally dark), and then back again, over and over throughout time in the materials lab animation time line. You can use this for each voice tube, or do them as a group. It's like turning a switch on and off. Sorry, no room here to explain more. Send me a message and I'll try to detail it for you.
