I own the exact same one and it is always a pain for me to start and it won't stay running it does ok when it works though but I like Husqvarna trimmers now.
lol i found my gti 15 in the garbage across the street from me. it runs, but when you give it full throttle, it dies out. im thinking its the metering spring and lever since it was bent a bit when i checked it out
iu know i bought one for 20 dollars and the shafts are like for kids! im 5'5 right now and its so hard to cut i mean what were thay thinking there powerfull and everthing but god damn
I have a GTI-15 too, my father worked in deforestation at Chibougamau (north of Quebec) and he have a lot of old machines.

those GTI-15 sucks dont last long as other weed eaters and often see them get thrown out too and similar box type weed eaters

i agree with you. im not a big fan of the GTI-15's. But you have to agree, that the GTI-19's will run forever.

if you want it to last longer then use high quality 2 stroke oil like: stihl,husqvarna,Echo 2 stroke oils husqvarna can be bought at lowes
