@chhonda hey, i have a 2008 civic si coupe and i wanted to ask if you know anything about the 2nd and 3rd gear grinding issues? TSB 08-020 and if dealerships fix this mine only has 40k miles.
@chhonda yea, im on 8thcivic.com also and my username is K00l08SI so you can send me a pm if you know anything or if the dealership can fix it. im only at 40k miles so i guess my powertrain warranty goes to 60k miles.thanks
@chhonda thanks, i will be changing my tranny fluid this weekend i have about 40,132 right now so ill replace with oem honda mtf and see if that makes a differance but plz send me a messege about this. ive seen honda tsb 08-020 but my car doesnt fall under the vin range even though i have notchy 3rd gear and occasional grind over 7k rpm but under 8k
@k00lball3r Being that your car does not fall under the vin range in the TSB you are going to have to take the car to the dealer to get it diagnosed. Once they find out what is wrong a district representative from Honda can make a determination whether it can be covered under warranty.
@chhonda ok, i will be changing my MTF this weekend and ill see if that makes any difference if not then ill take it to the dealer. thanks for your help

Hmm im thinking about doing this for my coup. I love the way the Si grill look. It's possible to get a coup grill from an Si and do a direct install correct?
I just did this, bought the SI grille from collegehills. The first 2 clips/screws are very hard to take out without that tool that you have in the video.. One of the clips got destroyed cuz I was very hard to take out using only a screw driver.. The rest of the installment are cake tho.. very good DIY. Thanks Collegehills.
how abt doing a video like this for the 9th gen? :)

@treyperez23 Yes, you need both pieces.
chhonda 5 months ago
So if there were an si grille that is listed as 09-11 do you think there would be any fitting issues onto an 07 model?
treyperez23 5 months ago
@treyperez23 I believe there would be yes.
chhonda 5 months ago
is the grille upgrade okay for 07 models? or would you need to make any modifications?
treyperez23 5 months ago
@treyperez23 Good for 2006-2008 4 door models.
