@jhartist123 A Catholic would never dare speaking about another religion like you do. We get it, you are a protestant and you don't pray to the virgin Mary. Good for you. This is not a Christ honoring bunch of people. Many true Christians have been brutally killled by this system. Jesus said call no man your father for the Father is in Heaven. He is the Creator. Why do Catholics dress their popes as kings. Christians are to be humble. I say sale the Vatican and feed the hungry with the money!!!!

@jhartist123 Last week I met the Pope when he came to Malta. I have to say I had the same thoughts that you had but when he looked at me and gave me his blessing my opinion changed about this man. He is truly a holy man and a man of Christ

@jhartist123 you seem to forget that there are more Catholic- Christian organizations than any religion devoted to raising funds to help the needy and poor worldwide. I'm not a religious person, but one cannot deny that fact. As for the royalty way of clothing, you can date that back to the Roman Empire, perhaps around 300 AD when Constantine was ruler & made Catholicism the official religion of the Empire. Call it fate that it happened that way. Dare i say it, maybe God intended it that way

When we look at Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 4:15-17) and John’s Epistle (1 Jn. 2:12f) we

When Jesus said call no man father he used it as a hyperbole. Otherwise your argument would deny the use of father to anyone on earth, including our biological father. You cannot read the Bible in literal senses all the time. Didn't Paul say 'imitate me.' If we are supposed to follow Christ is Paul leading us to idolatry? Of course not, he was leading by example which is why the Pope is there for us. Look at the early Church, each of the Churhc's were guided by Bishops.
