  • We ain't got no govt loans and no one sends us checks from home

  • Getting ran over by a bus pisses me off too.. Rock on blue dog!!

  • Forgot MTV played music videos in which people played instruments other than a synthesizer back in the day. BTW I am entitled to say that because I am 37 not 17.

  • Rock music that's not insanely pretentious or jokey towards it's influences? Like...just good fun? My, my, my, THIS MUST BE THE 90s!

  • teens now a days would be like " OMG! WTF? Music on MTV? They used to do that?"

  • @Sperlin Not exactly..

  • we 30 year old's had the priviledge to enjoy the good last years MTV channel!!!

  • this is probably the one of the best song I have heard that has an important meaning to it.

  • @trexlord1 Bad Religion songs actually make you think and can make you run to the dictionary because they use a lot of big words.

  • MTV in the 90's was beautiful

  • They still rock! Just saw them last night! They have a website! Check it out!

  • God I remember listening to Cracker in Jr high.. wondered what happened to these guys

  • another great song from the 90's that most people don't even know about! 90's equals possibly the greatest music ever! get on this!

  • Almost forgot that MTV at one time played good music!

  • On that August day in 1981 I had just turned 14. I think I sat in front of my t.v. for 3 hours prior to the 'great event'. And there it was, on Cox Cable in Spokane, WA ... The Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star ... Nina, Mark, JJ and Martha ... for the first time.

And the intro to this video reminds me of how Mtv lost it's way from introducing great music to introducing failed Jersey girls.

  • Thumbs up if you searched cracker

  • The chords sound eerily similar to "Sympathy for the Devil".

  • Aahh... Music from the 90's nothing better.

  • Been years since I heard this song. This song came out back when REAL music was being played on the radio.

  • <3 the little blue dog with the cigarette :D

  • But the sound DOES suck. I can't listen to this because I know better.

  • Oh MtV how you have epically failed

  • This was the the theme song for the alternative slacker 90's man I miss the 90's .

  • ..'Cause boy you know I loved you so when no one new your name and you were pompous.

  • Poor sound quality... seek for another vid for this song, I've watched at least one without that shortcoming.

  • @BilisNegra shut the fuck up nerd

  • @showyourtiggles I know when I'm just giving an opinion, and I know when I'm damn right, so I could not care less. Do bother to read twice what you're replying to. The SOUND in this video sucks, not the song. And yes, the song's been uploaded with better sound here in Youtube.

  • @BilisNegra i know what you were saying, shut the fuck up you fuckin geek

  • This was back when they still had music on MTV.

  • Best wishes from Galiza !!!

  • Great song!

  • Parden me, I meant to say Shut, but the keyboard didn't co-operate.... |:-)>

  • #1 - Cracker was the most under-rated group of the early 90's. Never understood why, except maybe their lyrics were not what the "crowd" wanted to hear.

#2 - "U wanna change the world? Shit U're mouth and get on with it..." Hahahaha, true-er words were never spoken...................

  • i love this song..its the first time ive ever seen the video tho..pretty sweet

  • It took me 7 mins to find this. Thank you internet.

This has been crawling inside my brain for about a decade. Without a name, a nagging shadow of snippet of a song.

    Thanks internet!

  • Love this song

  • Is it true that you have sold your soul?Say hey man I dont know, Lend me a quarter, wont you , and ill call my accountant..

  • Cracker COOL!!

  • It's been 12 years since I've seen this video. Thanks for posting it!

  • It's amazing how far downhil MTV's gone since this time.

  • I remember this video....It was out during an optomistic time....1994 was a great year, it also has a great chorus, they nail it down.

  • You're right ... '94 was a great year! (Oh, we were all just SO innocent then, weren't we?)

  • Thanks so much, after all I did participate to

    it's creation, what a great memory.great job

    Ariane

  • I may get way hated on for saying this, BUT, some parts in this song have a Jets to Brazil sound to them.

(Preparing for incoming Blake disses on me!)

  • cracker has been around for a long time

  • C A F C WHOLE SONG!!!

  • Get off this!!!! i have been looking for that song for 6 frinkin years man i love man

  • Hell yeah, I've never seen the video before (loved the song tho) but it's pretty damn awesome. Man, MTV used to be straight. Too bad it sucks now :(

  • yeah I graduated in 1996, and I think I belonged to the last generation that saw MTV as it was meant to be seen... but even then Missy Elliot and TLC had videos receiving heavy airplay... oh well video literally did kill the radio star

  • haha! Well said.

  • Hey, i'm as big a fan of the early-mid 90's MTV as anyone, but i've got no problem with Missy. Supa Dupa Fly is still nice

  • A buddy of mine actually got a tat of the blue dog from this video....I still think it looks cool.

  • I love the blue dog.

  • This is one of the best fucking songs from the 90s. Not only that, but this is one of the best fucking music videos from the 90s. If you see the animation techniques and randomness in this video, you can see originality in all its splendor as well as the product of boredom. In short, I wish I could give this damn good video like 20 stars or something.

  • Yeah Cracker. One of my favorite bands.

  • yea yea i remember my shool jejeje

  • Pause at 1:15-- it's G.W. Bush!

  • Best Video/Song ever

  • This is one of the best songs to come out of the 90's.

  • I love this song xD

  • Thank you for posting this video. I remember seeing it in 1994 when it premiered. Then I had videotaped it in 1996, but I lost the tape in a move some years ago. It's nice to see this vid again. This is one of my all-time favourite 90's alternative songs.

  • This was the first song I ever truly loved all on my own, as a result of my own tastes. I've been waiting to see this video again since I was 9! THANKS
