Some spook is going to sample this classic and get paid big bucks for stealing it. They have no shame and are responsible for taking this great nation down by way of 'politically correct' bullshit/insanity.
@ponyshowharmonica Get Over Yourself!!!! It's Racist BullShit like this that is KILLING America! If anyone does use it it's because the band ALLOWED it to happen. I hate rap as much as anyone, but it's because it SUCK'S as a "musical" style. NOT only because a "spook" wrote it. There is a TON of SHITTY WHITE music out there. Jonus Brothers, anyone? PLEASE just keep your stupidity to yourself! Does your screen name mean you blow Show Horse's? Probably does 'cause I bet you do!
@BLS1313666 Before I wrote this comment, I saw a vid of an old Alphaville song that had been "sampled" by a rapper and it was pretty much the whole song with added grunting in it. Completely stolen. My comment was only slightly racist, deservingly so imho. In closing, watch your fucking mouth boy. Have a nice day.
Look up the Bass player from this band and see what he has done. One of the baddest players on the planet! Anyone got anything from his all Bass band ANGUS! Please post if you do.
@sillychuckchuck Was the bar O'Malleys around at this time? In college I went there in '94, and had the most fun, esp when everybody sang American Pie at midnight!
Oh yeah, O'malleys was there (I never drank the wall)
I was partial to the Illini Inn and Murphy's? (across Green from Mabel's)
I only saw C.A. @Mabels and the Lake Club in Springpatch, and a place in Charleston who's name is lost to intemperate living, where I sprained my ankle doing a high-five but didn't spill my Tanq & Tonic
Oh God, how great to finally see the video after all these years! I remember numerous times seeing them at Mabel's and they even opened for U2 on the October tour at the Foellinger Auditorium!
This song is impossible to get.

Many places, no kidding, started calling them "Combo Ego," and they were such jerks, that many bands refused to play with them...not kidding!

I've never seen a video for this song before - it appeared on a CD set called Living In Oblivion and I really liked it.

One of the best tracks of the era. And that's saying something, when you think of how many brilliant tunes there were in those days...
I haven't seen this video for years and years and years. Ah, the memories...
Thanks for posting this one.
