The thing is, that wasn't the official birth certificate. That was simply a document recording he was born here but it was not a legal, signed, birth certificate. The congressman wasn't saying "he isn't a citizen", just asking why its so hard to show us proof.

The thing is, that wasn't the official birth certificate. That was simply a document recording he was born here but it was not a legal, signed, birth certificate. The congressman wasn't saying "he isn't a citizen", just asking why its so hard to show us proof.

I was born in Texas & what they issue here is a CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH as in most states and I have used it for a passport, driver's license, to vote, etc.
Like Barack's it has a seal and signature on it.
If I asked them for my Original Birth Certificate they'd look at me like I was some kind of nut.
