Wtf? The focusing screen is in the pentaprism assembly, which is totally bypassed when flipping the mirror and using live view. So what is happening in fact?
Hi - can you please tell me about the eyepiece cup attached to this A300? It doesn't look like the standard cup and seems to extend the viewfinder usefully past the LCD.
I hear the optical viewfinder has poor magnification - like looking down a tunnel? Just deciding on a used A200 or 300...

@jaguarguitar Sony uses a translucent mirror...so there is live view and light reflected...weird eh?
