That is not a lute. It is a guitar built like a lute. I can tell by the sound of the strings that it is not a standard renaissance lute.

wow - this is an unbelievably beautiful version. Sting sounds different here than he's ever been. I wonder - has he been working on his voice or something? it seems to have improved.

Sting is a multifaceted artist who isnt afraid to try new things! He has wide musical interests and many young wanabes would do well to imitate him in this respect. Thankyou for this recording! Scyca1404 you did well to capture the lute atall - its not an easy instrument to record.
