Someday this must be done to completely eliminate the MILF's rebellion by an incumbent Philippine president to achieve lasting peace in Mindanao.

Mindanao is predominantly Catholic/Christian, Muslims are only about 25% of population in the southern Philippines but their continued defiance has resulted not just the dwindle of the Muslim population but also made southern Mindanao one of the most dangerous place in the world for foreigners to visit and invest.
The kidnappings and ransom of foreigners including those providing humanitarian aid to people in poverty, only made the economy so bad in these conflict zones.
Islam is the only outmost law in the land, Christian on the otherhand religion doesnt need to be intermingle with goverment like the what the Bible teach Give what Caesar belong to Ceasar and give God belong to God. I am a christian, I came to understand their problems. But I don't condone the criminal acts of Abu Sayyaf and other criminal elements in Mindanao, that leads to mistrust for Muslims! Since the rebellion begun, Muslims were demanding for their lands, allegedly grabbed from them by warlords and greedy politicians, there was no way to take back their lands, they took arms against the Philippine Government. Not mentioned is the cost this war that could have been used to help so many people in poverty and the effect that has caused to the economy of the Philippines...but it has to end someday and if these insurgents are not willing to surrender.... the repercussion will be another all out war policy enforced by the govt and more atrocity will be committed against the innocent civilians by the MILF and more innocent Muslims will also be killed by the AFP.

All wars in the world, civil or international, ended because one side was defeated or surrendered then followed by a peace treaty. This esporatic war in the Philippines doesn't seem to end, it's like a stalemate because of inconsistent policies of the Phil administrations.
Hundreds of thousands of lives were already lost, it has affected so many lives, people were separated, some have lost limbs and some were traumatized for life.

With a military better equip and trained in jungle warfare and tactics, the Philippine military could conduct a several major offensive operations against the MILF similar to what former president Estrada did but this time doubling the size of its infantry using more sophisticated weapons would result in victory and finally end this conflict.
Someday this must be done to completely eliminate the MILF's rebellion by an incumbent Philippine president to achieve lasting peace in Mindanao.

Diplomacy and long peace process will never last with the warmonger leaders of the MILF, who think their continued defiance for years will someday get sympathy from other international communities besides the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to help their cause that would force the Philippine government to finally submit to their demands such as the MOA-AD, I don't see this will ever happen.

The problems are if you are rebels, muslims or other group outside government,,,the penalty is death. Instead of solving the problems by negotiating and helping them to understand that this is the Philippines and the filipinos problem alone. There no justice in either side with guns.

The number of violence precipitated by the MILF and Abusayyap group within 11 years has only added negative impact to MOA-AD that contributed to Pres. Arroyo and her administration's final decision prior to its signing date.
If the Bangsamoros want real peace, the MILF existence is a hindrance and undermine any peace process. The MILF will never win against the government forces..as long as they don't surrender and lay down their weapons, turmoil in Mindanao will continue.

Mindanao is predominantly Catholic/Christian, Muslims are only about 25% of population in the southern Philippines but their continued defiance has resulted not just the dwindle of the Muslim population but also made southern Mindanao one of the most dangerous place in the world for foreigners to visit and invest.
The kidnappings and ransom of foreigners including those providing humanitarian aid to people in poverty, only made the economy so bad in these conflict zones.

Once again this proves that the separation of religion and state must be maintained in order for people to be truely free. Every human deserves the right to choose their path to the pie in the sky. The Moro's have been discriminated againist since the Spanish days. Both christians and moslims can live in peace but corruption, greed, intolrence, and haterd must be eliminated.
