I shared it on facebook, buzz and twitter because it's wonderful, I'm just a beginner and I'm attending a base course, so I'm starting to appreciate great things like this :-D Great energy, rhythm and synchronization !!!
Sound ok, not to knock you at all , you have to get the tones and slaps cleaner, and play inside the rhythm, and the last thing it a language when you play not just making a beat on the drum. peace
@drummerboykm Yeh you right. But they sound good everything else will come along as they keep praticing. Real truth is you guys always should study up under a master drummer. Thats why their slaps n tones r not as cleaner. But good job n keep playing its a beautifull thing to keep African culture n music alive.
Its call 'soul' and its 'intense' when drumming...not like some unprofessional. You just can bang, bang, bang without putting 'feeling' and soul into it. Remember its our culture.
at school my class gets to play the djembe but i cant frikin find a beat called 'tiriba'

And sometimes the hands bleed while playing..
ali082005 2 years ago 4
Yup... my hands too are covered in cuts and blisters. Music isn't bang bang. Music is feeling and soul.
And I was just making a silly comment about facial expressions to be honest. Its the same faces I make too... it doesn't make for good photos tho!
d3Lberto 2 years ago 5
if you have good technique, your hands should never bleed. you don't need to hit the drum that hard just to get a loud sound out of it
djembeboy218 2 years ago
When you're just learning to drum though and your hands are soft you might get a blister that bleeds. I've seen it.
