I keep seeing these videos where the PIC has both hands on the yoke during take-off (climb-out)....I guess it is only in Cessna 150/172s (planes I learned to fly in) that a Pilot should ALWAYS have one hand on the throttle and (1) on the yoke to insure that the throttle does not slide back and reduce power, causing a stall due to lack of power during a steep angle of attack.
great vid i had my first lesson yesterday nd i love it, ive wanted be a pilot all me life but now i am hucked to flying cart wait till me nxt lesson do you get to land on your second lesson?
oi mate, nice vid, if your really interested in flying, and want to maybe make it a career one day, check out Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Its the premier aviation institution in the world. I go here, and its great. I fly 4 times a week. If its your dream mate, chase it. it was mine, and here i am.
Well I hope everything goes well for you! Thanks for commenting back! Flying is too addictive :P I've got one tomorrow, but we've had a layer of snow over night so I'm not quite sure as to wether that affects my training. All the best, Rob
Hiya mate. I was 15 in this video. I'm 16 now and due for another lesson soon! I'm not training properly yet but would love too sometime in the near future. The airport I fly from is Exeter. It's great as there aren't very many restrictions as to where you can fly over Devon so I'm pretty free to go where I like. And the song I used is 'learning to fly' by the Foo Fighters. I thought it was rather appropriate!
Great video!I really hope you carry on with flying!I'm currently doing my PPL at Durham Tees Valley in a high wing cessna 152, but id really love to train in a low wing like you! Great video! What airport are you based at? And how old are you! You seem young... although i am only 16!Good to see people starting off when their younger! Brilliant video! Keep it up
Nice video trooper. No better feeling than poking holes in the sky in a lightweight. Hope the flying continues for you, im currently doing my PPL @ Newcastle Airport but hoping to go out to florida in the summer for a flying holiday.
Nice! I fly, and am coming up on my PPM been flying for almost 7 years, but only started logging about a year ago. On piece of advice, dont fly the airplane with two hands, only fly with the left hand, because you need the right hand to do other things with, so dont get used to two hands. when you arent using your right hand, just put it on your lap
