The girls rotate captains. They are one of the oldest dance lines and still have their roots in classical dance. They have great technical skills, not just bumpin and grindin. They incorporate a great mixture of class and strength. The other dance lines of HBC's all have their strong suits and weak points. I'm just glad these schools still have dance lines. Many are going to the way side.

Arie is a bad girl. If you attend the games, you would know that. You can't always go off of what you see on youtube. This girl is FINE! Her waist is small, she had a big butt nice hips and NOTHING on her body juggles. She is very toned. I was at a SU game and the men were going crazy over this girl talking about how FINE she was. They failed to mention anything about the other skinny girls.

I would rather see someone represent a school that is healthy,than someone who is stick thin with an eating disorder. Rarebreed09, I wholeheartedly agree with you. The captain may be a little "thicker" than her teammates, but she isn't captain for nothing. Evidently she has got it going on! I'd rather see a dancer a little on the healthier side rather than one who is so thin she could be Olive Oil's twin sister. There is such a thing as being too skinny as a dancer. Moreover, video and TV puts an extra 10 lbs. on a person anyway.

Neverthelss, for the most part, I also believe that the Dolls don't wear weaves. I've seen some other HBCU and high school dance lines with so much fake hair that it's distracting from the choreography!
