The first time that I saw Gugu Mbatha Raw was the third series (or season) of the rebooted version of the Doctor Who show. I did not know her name @ the time, but she was walking on street wearing a short dress and dress boots, and I had to say wow, this young woman was fine, even though she only appeared in a few episodes in the series.

@datriggacity We'll let's see Mbatha is a Zulu surname and "Raw" is quite a Welsh name isn't it so her Caucasian parent (mom) probably has some of that?

Also I know Erica's mum - not well mind you - but enough to know that she has quite a bit of Welsh in her as well. That sort of round squishy face very common on the Welsh. My hubbie's about 3/4 Welsh genetically and he definately has that. Also Catherine Zeta Jones and the lady who play's Gwen from Torchwood. Just a hypothesis really.
