  • finally a silent video thats not a waste of 2 minutes and 3 seconds of my life

  • I have the set. I got it as a present, and the tea tastes amazing. I love it two reasons the tea is great and it's just so pretty.

  • Beauty...

  • i'd be afraid my mom would ask me if i'm growing drugs in her house and then not believe me answer when i tell her it's blooming tea.

  • I think it died :'(

  • where can i get one

  • Please, can you decribe the taste?

  • Nice job on the video looks good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • Nice job on the video looks good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • That was absolutely beautiful!

  • i had a few green teas with blooming flowers. the taste is finesse

  • I've seen this on Create (I know, I'm a geek) channel. This is traditional in China and they have Jasmine ones as well as male and female ones that release different flavors... Pretty neat! They taste good too!

  • lol its like its alive xD

  • Oooo such a pretty tea-pot!~♥♥♥

    I want it :O

  • Hahaha... I was staring intently at the vid, and was a little bit surprised at 1:30 when the flower kinda shot up. XD

  • This is beautiful

  • lol iknwo this flower i have tryed it years ago not so impresive

  • ahhhhhh its alive!!!

  • Where can you get this or do you just make it at home?

  • Good video I like it. This might help . It has many information about tea.

  • i got a boner lol

  • 170F hot water or so

  • hot or cold water?

  • Teeblumen sind eine tolle Geschenkidee für Teeliebhaber.

  • Sorta requires for you to have a clear tea pot...

  • i love that tea, ran out though :( I NEED MOAR!!!!!

  • It's like a tropical island sprouting in a goldfish bowl in which the water is progressively getting dirtier and dirtier.

  • Blooming teas made from green tea or white tea with a flower in the center. They tend to be light in flavor and have a flower component. They can be bought at almost any tea shop or tea website. Expect to pay at least $1.00 on up per ball. Depending on the shop and what type of tea it's made out of. It's a must try if you have not enjoyed one yet.

  • What's the time frame on this? How long was it sitting there?

  • @asdfgoogle

It was in the water for 5-10 minutes, each one takes a different amount of time.

  • Its alive !

  • how do you do that

  • did you only show the bloom? i see no steeping unless it is very light tea.

  • you steep it for 5 min then after the pot is empty you pour more hot water in (you can infuse it up to 3 times) so your getting about 6 cups of tea out of that ball. I just drank a pot and im feeling so relaxed its like i smoked a fat bowl of dro LOL

  • @danegoldstein5 It is very light tea, but it will deg darker over time.

  • omg soooooooooooo beatiful

  • I used to have them but I had no idea it was hand made! Might explain the price now, come to think of it. I didn't think much of the flavour though but that may have just been with the batch we had.

  • oh my god i love it ^^

  • that was Cool were do you buy this ?

  • @cobaltfae

yes it takes about 2-3 min to fully bloom.

  • why is it called "1000 day"?

  • I want to know that tooo~

Can you leave it in the glass pot/jar for 1000 Days? o.o; If not, how long can you leave it.

Maybe it has something to do with the name of the material?

Or maybe 'cause it sounds cool.

  • @leroyedstitch cuz its yummy in your tummy for 1000days divides but 1000.5 Duh

  • Comment removed

  • @leroyedstitch ... because you need 1000 days to understand why its called "1000 day"

  • @leroyedstitch The 1000 Day Flower Tea was inspired by an ancient Chinese legend where the empress of heaven, in the end, served this tea instead of peaches at her birthday. The flower used in this tea, Globe Amarath, is called the 1000 Day Flower because if blooms for a long time.

In other words, it's the name of the tea (flower).

  • omg this is the flower on display i always admire it when i go to the Oolong tea house simply beautiful

  • wow it looks like an underwater garden! it's really beautiful. :)

  • I just saw the ad for this while watching [Adult Swim]. I didn't think it was real until I saw this.

  • Sarah, is this you?

  • Thats scary! its like some creature giving birth

  • thats crazy

  • Tea to the English is really a picnic indoors. ~Alice Walker

  • where do you buy these blooming tea flower?

  • ever heard of google

  • oooooohhhhh, this is so cool...i wanna try some...love this...green tea- tea banzai! :)

    definitely on my list ;)

  • oh my gosh this is so creepy!

  • haha i was just thinking and wouldnt it be wierd if you were drinking the tea and the flower floated up to your nose and you were like AHHHHH! that would scare me cause it looks like some kind of sea urchin thing

  • That. is. so. cool.

  • Also, OolongTeaHouse... the Flash menu on your site doesn't work. :(

  • Weird! It wasn't working for me when I first clicked on the menu, but I refreshed and everything works fine.

  • I have tried a bunch of these flowering teas now, and I just CANNOT get them to sink. They float on top and it ruins the "bloom."

I don't know what they did in this video to make it sink so quickly like that, but I just can't get it to happen.

Must be some secret or something! :p

  • Your water isn't hot enough then

  • It was at a rolling boil. Water can't get any hotter than that.

  • princessroyalblue, you want to let the water cool for a couple of minutes before dropping the tea in. Green tea is usually brewed in a slightly cooler than boiling water. Good luck!

  • yep :) ~170-180 F depending on the type of green tea

  • At higher altitudes the boiling point of water is lower. You have to boil it longer to reach the same temperature. =)

  • I am less than 100 ft above sea level. :(

  • I got one of the kits for Christmas. There so cool!

  • This is so neat. One of my best friends actually bought this for me for Christmas. I'm actually drinking a cup of the tea right now. ^-^

It's so fun to watch the flowers bloom.

Me and my friend just love it. But my parents were a little freaked out when I showed it to them. lol

  • Yes, this organism is alive. It is actually hydrophobic, so when dropped into the water, the outer shell splits open and what you see are the internal organs bursting forth. Thanks for asking.

  • looool! :D

  • What a Fu*kin Loooooooool

  • they also have these at Teavana

  • is it something thats alive?

  • no its just a a bundle of tea leaves sewn together with some flowers and the hot water just makes it expand and open...its pretty neat though

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • this is beautiful, and it goes perfectly with aphex twin- rhubarb

  • this stuff is really cool. i just got some about 3 weeks ago. i love watching them open in the water. in fact while i am typing this i am drinking some of it.

  • so is it good?

  • Yeah its really good. it just needs a little sugar otherwise it is too bitter.

  • ooooh, so it tastes like the bitter tea if u dont add sugar?

  • yeah i think so

  • Cool, think I'll order some next time I go out for tea, the nieces will love it!

  • wow ready to drink

  • yep hes right i found some of this tea online at target also. but they have more in the store. i gusse it kinda deppends on where you live tho some targets have differnt stock. but it dose not take 1000 days to brew.

  • oo puuurty

  • Targét!!!

  • Yeah, Target rocks. Obviously they jump on these trendy tea flowers first.

  • Really? Nice, im gonna go to target and get some lol. Are they named blooming tea or something?

  • soo.. y ist called 1000 day flower??

  • Fake? Are you kidding me? You can buy Flowering Teas at Target. This is definitely not fake.

  • Flowering Teas at Target are AWESOME. I bought the 3pk of Primula Tea with Jasmine. Yumm!

  • hasn't CAUSED...sorry, typo.

P.S. I'm American born and raised but married to a wonderful Chinese woman... and yes... it's legit *rolls eyes*

  • I brought back a can of this from Mainland China, the tea is fantastic and tastes better than some of the more expensive brands. I think this nonsense with bad products from China are more isolated than people are making it sound. This tea is delicious, hasn't cause me any trouble, I'd suggest it to anyone!

  • so it blooms that fast?

  • The video is about 5 minutes long in all.

  • magnificent..

  • that just freaks me out

  • kool

  • thats cool

  • me too rabid

  • Note: products from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia are much safer, because those places have stricter food quality regulations. I've known bulk producers from mainland China and have heard some of the HORROR stories from chinese factories. Consumers BEWARE.

  • wow, this is so pretty! I know what Im going to get my momma for christmas. :3

  • He didn't say it was funny... He said it wasn't funny...

  • is that ova a 1000 day period =O

  • Did you guys see that the water wasnt rising when the plant was increacing in size? it must of absorbed the water to grow.

  • This is very pretty but I am always worried about products made in China.

  • Why is this two thumbs down. Its her opinion and shes entitled to it.

  • I agree with you. I'm an english-speaking asian and even I'M hesitant to buy food products made from mainland China. Whenever i go to asian super markets I check the back of food packages to make sure that it is not from china.

  • I love this kind of tea and i oftenly buy it near my house. I live in Riccarton, Christchurch, New Zealand

  • is the tea bad for you? I was thinking of getting some but I dont know if it will make me sick! I never herd of flower tea before

  • Tea is the opposite of bad for you.

It's one of, if not the healthiest beverages. On earth.

And flower tea is just blooming tea. It's art.

  • obviously sarcasm (trying to stop flamers)

  • O_o cool

  • I love blooming teas. They're not strong, but they do have a nice flavor.

  • haha cool^^'

does the tea taste any good?

  • I found it to be pretty weak tea.

  • It looks alive.... I don't want to stick living things in my mouth.

  • Well a Ford Mustang doesn't have hooves either, it's just the name of the tea. It's similar to the thousand year old egg, look it up. There is no fake to this video, I have some of this tea myself.

  • its called century egg....

  • If I never anwsered a question or kept an eye on the post, maybe it would be spam, but I have respondd to question and comments so no, I disagree. And yes, you do drink it, and it is nice.

  • the price of ignorance.

For those who didn't know, this is a hand woven tea.the flower blooms once it is steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes. These hand woven teas actually comes in different shapes. Stars, hearts etc. and it cost $1 per sample tea or $5 - $8 depending on ounce. Its a delicious tea and is usually given as giveaways during weddings or drank during tea parties.

Piece of advice:Conduct a research before giving a comment so you won't end up being taetok.

  • Do you sell these hand woven teas?. I am interested in purchasing these.

  • cosmic

  • nvm i looked it up its just tea leaves and a peachflower on a string

  • dude its just time lapse its the plant growing but in fast forward

  • Yeah, there's not even a reason to fake this.. sure, it's neat, but whoop-de-doo! You can crush up a piece of bread into a ball and throw it in water, it'll do the same thing.

  • umm, sure I guess, but the point is that it is hand made tea, that expands in water over the course of 5 min, and then you drink it, and add water to it 10 times or so, so bread it water it is not.

  • It's not fake, no sure why anyone would put in that much energy in faking something like this...

  • why would u even suggest that to be fake??

  • damn

  • Hi!

So it´s 1 ball for 1 ca. liter? How much is one ball? How is it sold? In a pack of a dozen?

  • That was cool! Did you get it from Kasora?

  • no... it's from oolong tea house

  • That was pretty cool.

  • im sorry, but id be too freaked out to drink that o_o;

  • i had this at a restaurant in SF and everyone i've told thought i was nuts. youtube, thanks for making my crazy stories just a little more credible.

  • wow, intriguing

  • that is awesome

  • why do you think its fake you must be joking. If your saying its fake then you should beable to back it up right? So backup your claims and stop spamming.

  • jego, people say that because it's obviously not fake.

    methinks you missed the joke.

"stop spamming" - ummm.. i don't see the unsolicited advertising, do you?

btw, my penis is three times bigger since i've been using the new Viargi enlargement program, containing three special herbs.

  • Spamming doesnt have to do with advertising. Spamming is basically unnecessary posting in a forum or topic and in this case a comment. Also sorry its kind of hard to tell if someone is just being plain out retarded or joking on youtube.

  • It's not you fake, you goober. It's tea. Someone like you probably has no freaking clue what that is, though, do you? You probably have a can of soda in your hand as you're reading this!

  • and then can u drink it or not?

  • Yes, it's a good green tea, there are many types, jasmine, plain, lychee, etc...

  • what a hobby..

  • I can't believe I just watched tea steep for two minutes...and don't even get any. I do want to go buy that tea though...

  • um, it tastes nice too - surprised noone mentioned that.

also, you can get this anywhere good tea is sold - it's not an expensive boutique fancy tea that you can only order online or interstate - i get it from my local tea shop as a late gift quite regularly.

  • Yes, they are pretty common, really great if you are having people over, as one of these will make 10+ pots of tea...

  • "10+ pots of tea.."

^ a man after my own heart.

  • Yes it is time lapsed a little bit, normally it takes 4-5 minutes.

  • Looks like it.

  • so is this time lapse or what

  • No.
