Um, maybe sent to the SS to get shot, I highly doubt they were in the SS as you had to have a background check as far back as 1755 to make sure you were truly Aryan to be in the SS, other German units in the Wehrmacht were not as stringent as the SS was to get in.

Actually, The SS had all the volunteers from around europe and russia. The Wehrmacht only allowed german decent, expect for oversea legions. Besides, towards the end of te war, Aryan was thrown out the window.

There are several thousand German troops serving in Afghanistan, I think that will do more for restoring a martial tradition than playing dress up; no offence meant to re-enactors.

If im not mistaken, many of these reenactors are men that have served several tours in Iraq. Many of them are war vetrans, current servicemen and decorated soldiers. These reenactors are honorable people keeping history alive.

I personally love these guys from the 2.SS, ive faught with them before and they are pretty hardcore fighters. just for jokes sake, i ask my self why they need to bring condoms into the field lol. (if you didnt understand, he asked for gummischütz). it makes for a great show though.
