  • I have a 2000 EX V6 with 135,xxx miles and I get 22 city and 29 highway. My mom bought it brand new in 2000 and I can honestly say that it consistently gets better fuel economy than the epa rating. I only ever get 17-19 mpg when I'm stuck in traffic for long periods of time.

  • What car will you get next? Will you get employee pricing?

  • @andhuy

    I already bought a 2012 Fit

  • We just got a 2000 Honda Accord EX V6...very decent car, first time dealing with one personally.

  • Now that you have your new fit do you think you're going to miss this at all? It was a pretty car for its age! and nicely equipped Its also funny going back and looking at your videos in the movieland parking lot since I live by and go there all the time!

  • cool car

  • those gas mileage figure's don't sound that bad to me for a 3.0 L V6 Making 200 HP...should be about the same as the Camry of this age.

  • Very Clean Accord!

  • Loved that green, had the 00 accord coupe ex v6 myself, bought her new off the lot back then. Only kept it 2 years though, monthly payments were too high for me at the time. I was young and crazy at the time! Too bad Honda is dying fast with ugly as hell designs and cheap quality. Good thing other companies are really commin up like Hyundai.

  • Well, When I got my license and the car, it had only 90,000. Now after 2 years, I have 106,000 miles. As for problems(Knock on wood)? None. Ive heard the talk about the 6th gen accord and I havent experienced any. Believe it or not my car is in great shape. I might put a video up tomorrow of mine if your interested. =)

  • Lol omg. I laughed when I read your description. I drive this same car(silver). Been in the fam since 07 with 60,000 miles. Ive drove it for two years but now i want a stick shift honda prelude. Plus ive heard about the tranny crappin out. Lmao same story here. Very nice car tho, not gonna lie.

  • @CoolBreeze90210

hahaha nice! How many miles are on yours now? And what kind of problems has it given you?

  • My accord is hotter....it's a coupe silver

  • @gradyboi2

    Trim level?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo My bad I was messing you but its a EX-V6 coupe with the chrome exhaust tips (Honda ones just like yours) and the factory installed fog lamps with the jumper wire to come on with the park lamps. I am going to buy a 07 Four door Ex-V6 with everything navi and etc.

  • @gradyboi2

Actually, my chrome tips are not Honda but aftermarket :P Yeah your coupe does look better but only if it was red :P haha I want an 07 Sedan EXL V6 too in sapphire blue pearl, but I'd skip the NAVI as its dated now anyways lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo I was told that the Honda ones will not rust but the aftermarket ones would. 07's are nice I love'em and the only reason why I want the navi in the car is because I can get a bypass for it to play dvds and as well as add on ipod. I guess I will decide when I start shopping around :)

  • @gradyboi2

hmm, well my chrome tips have been on the car for 4 years and they havent rusted. Although I do clean them whenever i wash the car lol Good luck with your car search! I actually have an 07 Accord EX-L V6 in black sitting on my dealer lot and its like $18 grand with 40k, they are still worth a good amount of money

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Did you do that jumper wire yet? Yea, I know I have seen one that was 19,000 but it was silver.

  • @gradyboi2

btw where do u get that jumper wire to make the fogs come on with the parking lamps?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo if you take out the switch you will see a blue wire and a red/black wire. All you need to do is take a 16-14 gauge wire and connect them together. I wouldn't splice any wires just squeeze it inside the connectors on the back. It works good and also easy to take out if you don't want the modd anymore. If you have any questions just inbox me or if you want a pic I can take one and send it to you.

  • beautiful!!!

  • @Jakeman2164

    haha yup, small world!

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Thanks for the feedback. I decided to get an Altima instead. I cannot afford to take a chance.

  • hey im about to buy a 2001 Honda Accord with 109k for $5200. What do you guys say? I keep hearing about their transmission failures

  • you should take off the spoiler

  • @ptubene1

psh. The spoiler has only been on for a year, I got the same mileage w/o it. You must be calculating it improperly bc 35 overall is impossible on this car. Unless all you do it drive at a steady 55 mph for hundreds of miles...

  • @ptubene1

oh sure, lets take off the spoiler and leave drill holes exposed on the trunk lid... how ghetto would that be

  • thats a lie because my 01 honda gets 35 mpg and I got it in 04

  • @ptubene1

I wouldn't lie about that. If it got me good gas mileage I would share it. The most I have gotten on a pure highway drive is 32 MPG and that was about 500 miles from VA to MA. That was only once tho, how do you calculate your MPG and is yours a V6 or 4 cylinder?

  • @ptubene1

Also, I tend to drive with a heavy foot bc the V6, while smooth, lacks power below 3500 rpm... please tell me you noticed that at stop lights to keep up with other cars you have to push the engine past 4k... It seriously lacks torque or at least needs another 2 gears

  • @xoquixxoqafxo silver V6

  • Why do people cover the plates ? You drive openly on the street with them what s the big deal.

  • 2:08 What was that chime.?

  • @JayBrodieBro

Probably my phone telling me i have a text message

  • Nice car! Probably the best gen accord, although the fuel economy sucks. I love the same camry that completed with this, especially the se v6. Its probably the only sexy camry I can think of, LOL Although I hope the v6 doesn't have the engine knocking problem that one Intechdude300 did, LOL

  • @Lexuslover123

Thank you! I really do love the styling of my generation too! But yeah with its soo hot right now, I have to use the AC and its getting around 17 in city driving around Richmond :( The V6 in this car is soo amazing, it shocks me how smooth and quiet it is, my friend has an 2007 Sonata V6 and it sounds like shit compared to this cars J30A1. The 1MZ-FE motor in the Camry did also have sludge problems like the 4 cylinder but they are smooth as well if u change the oil regularly lol

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Yeah, Shity sonata, LOL

  • Getting this same car as my first in a few weeks. Buying it off a private seller, it only has 69,000 miles on it...

  • @MrThingamagig

enjoy it!!! I hope you are getting the 4 cylinder tho as the V6 is nice but kind of thirsty at the pump in city driving :(

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Thanks for the heads up but, I ended up getting it anyway lol. Guess I'll feel its performance behind the wheel and in my pocket :-P

  • sodomite

  • where did you get those floor mats? i love it

  • @InAdrenalinesLimit

    haha they are from costco!

  • shit..118,000?...thats nothing for an accord man XD!...my gf's has over 200,000...and mine has 248,400 ^^ V

  • @misterbear1984

Nice! What year Accord do you and your GF have? I know I could get another 100k easily out of my car :)

  • @misterbear1984 mines a 1990...hers is a 1994....they are reliable...but i think my next car will be a subaru with AWD :D....kind of need it for the Wisconsin area :/

  • Man i love this car so damn much !! Beautiful !

  • @techguy1678

Thank you! It is quite a clean looking in somewhat bland design. But i actually like it more than the 03-05 sedan but the 06-07 sedan is my favorite!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo hey man how bad are the transmissions on these cars? because I've heard the automatics can go out really easily?? Awesome cart btw

  • @datpimpinboy

They were pretty bad a few years ago. Transmissions used to fail around 50k. Right now tho all the re-manufactured units seem to be holding strong. I'm pretty sure mine is the original unit so I just got lucky. My only problem with it now is just having only 4 gears as the 5 speed autos in newer Accords make it soo much quicker. If i were to buy this generation again I'd probably stick with the excellent 5MT tho.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Oh okay thanks! I am about to buy my first car and this generation accord is one of my top choices, but the transmission issue really scares me. I'm gonna try to get a manual transmission, otherwise, get the transmission inspected by a mechanic or something if i decide to go with an auto. I love the styling of these accords and they are well equipped. I particularly love yours, I wish I could afford one like that. BTW, I sub'd to you channel looking forward to more videos!

  • @datpimpinboy

Well thanks! I def plan to keep this car until 150k at least so maybe another 2 years at the most. Its been a great car and I still love it! Just try and go for an EX model when you are looking since they have ABS, I'd also go for the 4 cylinder now bc the V6 tends to be thirsty at the pump and with gas at $3.80 a gallon... I wish I had the 4 cylinder at times lol I wish you luck on your car search tho!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Lol yea, the V6 isnt even an option for me, I really cant afford to fill up a thirsty V6 with today's gas prices (What a shame b/c id love to drive a V6)... and yup im trying to find a nice EX like yours. My two main options are this accord or an 2000-2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I'll post videos whenever I buy my car.

  • I love the accord from 98-2002. I just couldn't bring myself to buy one though because I didn't want to take the chance the transmission would crap out :(

  • @healingduck

My favorite is def the coupe tho! You could always just find a 5MT model then you wouldn't have to worry about anything :)

  • Nice car, real good shape, my mom and brother have a Honda, they are great cars and run forever. I had a tour of my car on my old account I'll do it again when it gets nice, and besides ive done many mods to it.

  • My dad has an 00' SE sedan, that he got used back in 03, hes put a good 100k on it, & kinda takes care of it, but not as good as this. Oh & his is on its 2nd tranny, he tried to give it to me when I started driving, but I cant stand his car, its waay too little for me

  • @bamac2008

lol yeah I'm a bit OCD about taking care of any of my personal cars, I noticed on your channel that you have an SX4? If that Accord was too small for you, how the heck do you fit comfortably in that car? The last time I drove one, I thought it was cramped and the driving position awkward.

  • @bamac2008 OMG I love SX4's I know it sounds really weird, but I fit perfectly In my car, Im getting rid of it soon, but the best thing about it how high up I sit,& the big windshield. Im 6'1 & yes I drive to the point where no one can sit behind me, but In my dads Accord, I feel i have to fall inside of the car, climb to get out, & with the steering wheel tilted as high as it goes, when I swich from pedal to pedal my thighs rub the bottom of the wheel

  • @bamac2008

haha yeah the last SX4 i drove was in 07, it was a brand new SX4 sport with a 5MT, fun car with a decent shifter although I didnt like the buzzy 4 cylinder. I do remember the high seating position and huge windshield tho, good visibility for a tall guy like you but im a shorty which is why I didn't like it lol. What are you planning to get to replace your SX4 soon?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Thats my next dilemma. Big mistake getting that car 2 days before I moved, for schooI, the previous owner didnt know how to drive.... I would love to get another SX4, & not a 2010+ b/c they switched over to stupid cvt's I wouldnt mind getting a stick, but my dad's on my case about that :( I would absolutely love having a 2nd gen Infiniti G20, they arent a super notorious, nor fantastic car but I just love em. Honestly I'll prolly end up with the Accord, well for now anyways haha

  • Wow that Accord is in beautiful shape...my aunt used to have a dark green 2000 Accord LX 2.3 auto and it naturally fell victim to total transmission failure in 2007, so she replaced it with a 2008 Accord EX-L 2.4 auto which is a pretty nice car...I had actually never seen one before when she bought the thing so I was pretty excited when I got to drive it for the first time back then...it had about 140 miles on it :)

  • WOW!!!! Between you and Intechdude300 you guys are super lucky to have what you have in such good shape and condition you don't see too many Thats this clean!!! I was in the market for a Honda just like this a day before I got my impala, it was tan with leather seats, moon roof spoiler v6,6 CD changer and so on (Fully loaded) for 8K, which is really good but had last minute dicisions and took the chevy for 3k more lol but this is my fav accord EVER!!!!!! Nice ride!

  • @90Mrknowitall

lol thanks, this is actually my car tho, Intechdude300's was a dealer auction car to be sold off. It was decent too but it had a CEL and faded headlights, very common problem on these Accords. This car has been great to me but it has needed some money to get it to the condition you see it in (mostly maintainance work tho, with a couple unexpected problems). Regardless, I still love the car and I may even cry a bit when I hand to keys over in a couple years for a new ride lol

  • nice Honda! believe it or not, someone in my family has the pre-facelifted model of your vehicle

  • @KingEastCoast

lol nice! How is theres holding up?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

works perfect, purchased over 10 years ago :)

  • Your car is in really good shape! Personally i like the 2006-2007 gen accords. But surprisingly the 06-07 gen accords aren't very good. I left it out for 1 night in the snow and it wouldn't start!

  • @thecarexpert21

thanks! the 06-07 are also my favorite! How old was the battery in it when it wouldn't start over night?

  • @xoquixxoqafxo the battery actually wasn't that old I had already replaced it two years back. It made this awful awful whiny noise when it finally cranked.

  • I love this generation accord. And I like the 2002-2006 camry's. Both the current accord and camry are not built as well as they used to be.

  • You Honda Accord looks amazing for 118,000 miles, it would definitely be a car I would buy if I seen it was for sale, but I am sure it would sell very quick. I can honestly say I never seen that model year Honda Accord in person with the factory fog lights, and rear spoiler. Most Accords in that model year have wheel covers and cloth interior, so you have a pretty rare car there. And I guess you couldn't get the license plate to say KERMIT, huh?

  • @carman81usa

Thanks soo much! The Honda dealer here has tried to buy my car from me for $5000 in a trade, I know I could sell it myself for $7000 since like you said not very many are equipped like mine is and in the condition its in. LOL yeah I tried to have it say KERMIT but it was taken haha

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Could you accept my friend request, I tried to send you a message about some of my past and current cars, but it says you must be friends first. Thanks!

  • @carman81usa

sorry I just saw it! Its done!

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

Honda has been making some crappy decisions lately lol. I'll always be a fan though. Unfortunately my mom wants a 335i lol, so my chances of having another Honda in the family are slim haha.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

I like the 2011 Honda accord if it's black with a spoiler and window tints. If not, then yes I would have the 2008-2010 Honda accord sedan. I would have a TL non type s over the accord if the gas milage was not so bad in LI NY. I would so have a Type S though believe me but gas milage is even worse haha. Over all, I think you would be happiest with the Honda Civic si because you might be able to buy it new.

  • @hondaftw1234

I love the TL but I hate how they use premium gas lol I'm waiting to see what kind of powertrain changes Honda makes for the 2012 Civic Si sedan, I'm hoping for either a turbo engine or a K20 with at least 220 hp. If its just the same 197 hp, I'll be extremely disappointment and may think about looking at a 2012 Focus ST hatch with the eco boost 2.0L engine.

  • Your Car looks great for the age, better than how u've told me. Here tho its hard for to find an aged Dk colored car thats Cancer Free from the FL Sun. Those MPG figures were probably right in 2001 as Pure Gas was more common vs Now just everywhere its 10% ethanol which does screw milage.

I'm gonna call my Red Lincoln Elmo now LOL, The Aristocrat front plate wont last much longer as NY uses dual Plates.

  • @Intechdude300

hehe thank you! This car def have never left Va. I forgot about the stupid 10% ethanol thing, you are right it probably has made the MPG numbers dropped which is why the EPA changed its methods for 2008 to compensate for that. I hear they are considering switching it to 15% ethanol. I really hope they dont!

lol Elmo sounds cute for your continental but why Elmo? hehe You can always put a plate border that says Aristocrat when you move to NY ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

E15 will mess us up even more.

Your Right I'll do the the Plate Border. Elmo cause he's red, seems gullible, looks so soft . My Car is red, looks Gullible, & is soft inside.

Thought About Garfield too but that Sleepy Darn Cat was Fat & Lazy. The Car does have a fat ass, It's not Lazy but it can be a Sleeper with little mods to its cobra engine. There was an Old Disney Film called The Aristocats which was about cats.

    U know, I think I want Garfield

  • @xoquixxoqafxo

Everyone hates the new accord but I still love it. Of course not as much as the old ones but I still love it. Would you consider a 2008-2010 Honda accord coupe 6mt? You are correct on it being the most distinctive of all the accord coupes. My mom loves the accord coupe and since she likes to drive fast, I could see her in it lol.

  • @hondaftw1234

I don't particularly love the 2011 Accord Sedan, Coupe is beautiful and sexy but the sedan (especially) the 2011 model looks kind of frumpy. The 08-10 sedan looked better but I was hoping Honda would give the Accord LEDs again but nope. I also hate how Honda used to put special designed or sized rims on V6 models to differentiate them from 4 cylinders, now all EX models have the same 17" rims (except the coupe).

  • Oh yeah and I want the coupe version. Prettiest accord coupe ever IMO.

  • Beautiful car you have there! Btw Honda did not cut any corners with the 7th gen accord IMO. If this generation was not plagued with transmission problems, I would love to have the accord on my channel or even yours. Our old 1996 Honda civic was that colour you have there also. But since it does have tranny problems I guess I'll have to take the 7th gen.

  • @hondaftw1234

Yeah the 7.5 (2006-2007) is still my favorite. I would trade mine in for an EX V6 6MT sedan in a heartbeat. Plus there are some features missing in my car (heated seats). I grow tired of freezing my ass in the winter time lol Its funny bc when my sister bought this car when did not know about the trans problems but we got lucky!

But yeah the 6th gen coupe is way better looking than a 7th gen coupe. Although the 8th gen takes the cake as the most aggressive coupe to date :)
