Zach did sing all the songs in the 2nd movie though.

vanessa is a awesome singer live but she was sick during the tour, and she was singing and dancing at the same time, or when she sings a slow song, she sang it after doing a fast song. But when vanessa isnt singing adn dancing at the same time, shes really good at singing live.

If you listen to the soundtrack version of this song, u can hear that Zac sings the first lines,

and then you can hear an obvious vocal change. So, Drew sings the rest of the song.

its a tour for all those people who can't get enough of HSM
they only care about the fact that "Gabriella" is right in front of them
I think the producers might have realised (unlike you) that they dont need to have chemistry as long as the singing is good and people come away satisfied

Wow, I never new Drew was the voice of Troy in HM1. I bet he wished he could have done that role. He probably would be just as big as Zac right now.

well...vanessa...i mean she's cute and sweet and pretty, so we normally forgive her 4 everything...i respect her and all but i think that she gets tired so fast...i know she's human and all but that is just one of the worst performances i ever saw...i mean drew is okay...he's dancing and singing at the same time and his singin was great...and vanessa also sucks at dancing...cuz that was a disaster..=S

it's really hard singing live and dancing, it's really tiring and you can't redo it til it's perfect. That's the only problem with it really. :-( Vanessa is still a good singer.

vanessa is a awesome singer live but she was sick during the tour, and she was singing and dancing at the same time, or when she sings a slow song, she sang it after doing a fast song. But when vanessa isnt singing adn dancing at the same time, shes really good at singing live.

if u listen carefully u can hear that the first sentence (''we're soarin', flyin', there's not a star in heaven that we can't reach...'')is not sang by drew...it's zac...i totally figured that out when i listened to it...I'm still shocked, though...

well it wasnt him singing in hsm 1. but in hairspray and hsm 2 im pretty sure its all him singing. so i guess he's been getting some voice lessons. lol

he doesnt need singing lessons he zac only didnt sing in hsm because he had to do 3 weeks of intensive basketball training for the movie so he did a mini recording and his voice and drew's were mixed together. i watched access hollywood lol.

yeah zac efron can't sing. all he has is the looks and he becomes big all over the world along with the high skool musical cast.drew should be more famous than zac.

lol i totally agree. i dont even know why they even hired zac(someone who wasnt a singer at the time hsm was being filmed) to play a character in a musical! they shoulda just hired drew and leave it as that instead of having all these conspiracy about who really sang the song.
but i do have to agree that zac did great singing some of the songs in hairspray. i thought it'd be just as awkward as hsm1 but he did prove me wrong.

they WERE going to use drew! but he couldnt cause of schedualing conflicts or something so they had zac do it but had drew come back to do the vocals cause zac couldn't sing these songs the way disney wanted them to

# Zac Efron's singing voice was that of Andrew Seeley, who was also considered for the role. Seeley sang the entirety of "Get'cha Head in the Game" and the reprise of "What I've Been Looking For." Efron only sings the first four lines of "Start of Something New," the first sentence of "Breaking Free," and during the scene on the balcony. The reason for this is because Efron's natural voice was too low for that of a tenor and the producers wanted a tenor to match the role.
