well tbh the recorded version is better than live, since the live has no tone to it, its mono with no feeling. what makes a good band is one that can perform live the same as their recorded version, and with decent music. Avrils music is catchy, but that is only the recorded versions. and if you go for performances going on on the stage please take it to the extreme like Rammstein. this may sound harsh but thats how you criticize stuff, you have to be harsh.

I understand that but you still can't assume. Haley Williams for example doesn't edit her voice at ALL. Listen to her acoustic or acapella and she sounds exactly like she does on the cd. BUT. When you're jumping around on stage singing at the top of your lungs of course theres a chance it could sound different. A lot of people do edit their voices [P!ATD does] but I'm pretty sure Avril doesn't.
