I'm not Lori, but I thought I'd give my point of view because I went throught that too. I'm 24 and when I came out to my mom when I was 19, she didn't want me to tell anyone. She was okay with it but she didn't want me to be out. My advice would be to just do what makes you happy. Not your mom, not anyone else, just you. If you want to be out, then come out. Don't live for anyone else. You are the most important person in your life. Don't waste time being unhappy. =]

Oh yeah, We learned in my social psychology class that when you interact with someone that you think is attractive, you elicit attractive qualities in yourself. I suppose the same thing could go for happiness. If you see things that make you happy and feel good, then you're more likely to elicit those happy qualities and people will respond to your happiness. :)

I too try and stay as positive as I can, and I have limitied my exposure to negative people a great deal. It works wonders. :)
