Not everybody with a GX270 has a service tag that shows Vista compatibility. If your system is able to run Vista 32 bit, go to the Dell site and search for r145551.exe. This is the driver file as of Jan 2007 for the integrated audio found on most systems.

For some reason the Dell site wouldn't give me the drivers for Vista for the GX-270, only XP and such were in the pick list. In desperation I googled, found your entry ... and about three-quarters of the way in you very clearly *read out the filename* of the downloaded driver :-). So I then fetched that directly from the Dell site. Thank you!
