nope. If you look at the photo with Ned and Ed (almost rhymes) you'd see that even back then Ed was on the portly side.
I really want to buy a Steinberger bass. It was definitely the most innovative design for guitars and basses of the last century.

Every other headless guitar/bass at that NAMM show is garbage. The Duke is the worst, firewood at best.
