I loved this movie for one simple reason: Jeremy Renner. My only complaint regarding the movie itself is that they should have cut that strange 'wrestling' scene in favor of a more meaningful scene between Wil and his wife. I think she only spoke 3-5 lines the entire movie??? Why hire a popular actress such as Evangeline Lily and not even give her some material? I did love the scene where he talks to his baby, though. Overall, a great movie;)

This movie was okay. Not great. The plot was full of holes and alot of it just didn't hold together at all, not to mention, the guy getting killed in this clip didnt get hit by anything yet the guy later in the movie gets blown up by the guy in the suicide vest and gets pelted with rocks and debries and lives

I saw this movie. It's good. A stressed and touching movie. It says that not everyone are bad guys. Not American neither Iraqui people. All there are victims of Powerfull Lords of War, and because there orders, they hurt people. Soldiers are professionals to kill,but no one should take the life of other one, never. Life is too precious to be removed and we are made of blood and flesh, so even we think that we are Gods, we are so fragil and mortals like any livivng creature on earth.

Dont like the movie. I know its Hollywood but it sucks. . after spending 17months in that country I do not like the way this movie was made. one thing EOD ( thats what they were ) doesent run around with just 3 guys in a truck all by its self. They do not get into combat. Or go all commando ( yes they do sometimes get in the middle of one but they are always supported/escorted by an element that will engage any contact from hostal forces). The alcohol .. . yes it is over there .. but as stupid as those guys were out in the open they woulda been caught n hemmed up ASAP, no way to hide that.

also another thing, a VIP like the chaplin would not have been allowed to walk around by himself like he did without a close escort. All chaplins I have seen outside the wire always have their assistant ( who is also their bodyguard because chaplins do not carry weapons, from what I have seen ). Also someone going thru PTSD or any other traumatic event would have been put on a teporary list that doesent allow them to conduct operations.

Tho on the PTSD thing, I know the system isnt perfect and they all arnt caught, but if a soldier admits to it and is currently undergoing couciling for PTSD or anything like that they are monitored by their chain of command.

It's a movie for one thing. In my time in Iraq our batalion's EOD unit didn't wear that once. They don't provide sufficient protection against most IEDs. That's quiet an assumption there hejans.

And if you watch the film, you'll see that they realize that in certain situations it's not necessary, but once you're far enough away it's the only thing keeping you safe since you will be the one that is going to be the CLOSEST to the bomb at all times.
