This is heartbreaking, I cried watching this. I couldnt imagine being there seeing all of that stuff, knowing that was in the school once the shooting was done, knowing thats what my child died on, or was shot by. It pulls on my heart strings. The police had to proceed with caution, not just because of the danger, but because they didn't know what the shooters looked like or how many there were. They had to make sure that they didn't hurt innocent students. Under the circumstances, it's unfair to blame the cops for the resulting action of these two killers.

How is it sensible to run in guns blazing, knowing little (students had conflicting things to say about how many, how well-armed, or realtime location) of the situation or potential hostages? As I told you before, it's not a video game, the quickest solution isn't always the smartest. Some students got themselves out, but SWAT escorted many students to safety. You'd rather blame cops than the lunatics who did the shooting, because you refuse to think.

Further, the police department was able to get a large number of students to safety instead of just running & gunning through the hallways which more than likely would make things worse. The police had to proceed with caution, not just because of the danger, but because they didn't know what the shooters looked like or how many there were. They had to make sure that they didn't hurt innocent students. Under the circumstances, it's unfair to blame the cops for the resulting action of these two killers.

@fluxerflixer1 Viewing thid evidence was not mandatory for any of the familys, I believe that making this available to the family was to help them put closure on the tragic events and begin to rebuild there lives. If something awful like this had happened to my family i think i could more easily deal with the reality than the what ifs i would be tormented with not knowing. With the personal effects of the victims i do however hope that the familys were contacted and asked for there permission.

@MyTwoCentsAreFree I know, it doesn't feel like 12 years. I was 8 then. I remember the news reports. It feels so weird it was so long ago, it feels like just a few days ago. It really is sad.

I'm not 'another one of those nuts', but rest in peace Eric & Dylan. Rest in peace Rachel, Danny, Dave, Cassie, Steven, Corey, Kelly, Matthew, Daniel, Isaiah, John, Lauren, and Kyle.
Anyone who could do that has psychological problems- it's their fault, but rest in peace nonetheless.

If you want the entire truth on this story with no bullshit from an eyewitness and friend to both Eric and Dylan, I recommend reading No Easy Answers: The Truth Behind Death At Columbine. Brooks Brown wrote it. He sugar coats nothing. I've been keeping up with this tragedy since the beginning and have yet to come across a documentary as compelling and raw as his.

(continued) So basically, the massacre was a great big fuck you. They wanted to get revenge for the way they were treated. It doesn't make logical sense that they decided to shoot the entire school but when you feel like the world is against you and your world is within the confines of Columbine, when they finally decided they'd had enough, they viewed the entire school as their enemy and taking as many students as they could seemed like the ultimate revenge. People should know this by now.

@john2earth They were not bullied at all, you should stop believing the lies & misconceptions about eric harris & dylan klebold & columbine. Also Columbine wasnt a school shooting incase you dont know they planted bombs in the lunch hall & in their cars in the parking lot,they had planned to kill hundreds of people that day, even their best friends aswell, its only when the bombs failed to explode did they decide to start shooting. they targeted anyone it didnt matter who. they were pyhcopaths.

@TheDevineBeing They were. You need to read Brooks Brown's book for the truth. Noone would know about what they experienced better than him. Yes, it's true they did plan to blow up as many people as they could and pick off the survivors as they exited. I've already said that. However, this was all due to the bullying and being outcasted. They were so screwed up from it all they viewed everyone as their enemy. That's why they just wanted to kill everyone, although they let a few survive.

(continued) This is made very clear with how they choose to kill their victims. They taunted them mocked them before they killed them. Witnesses say Dylan laughed while he was killing. People keep missing what this was about. Their hate hat built up to the point where they had so much hate, it was overflowing and just wanted to kill Columbine. This becomes very clear if you read Eric's journals and the excerpts from his rants found on his website from the year before the massacre.

(continued) Before anyone says no bullies died that day, I already know this. Anyone and everyone was a target that day. Although a hit list was constructed by Eric, that day it was very clear they were just looking to take down as many people as they could in an act of built up rage. To them, that was seeking vengeance, even though they weren't seeking out their victimizers on an individual level. It was a grand scale act of violence they dedicated their revenge too.

(continued) Their plan was to pick the remaining survivors off from outside as they exited. When the bombs didn't go off as intended, they opted to shooting people based on a few different factors as well as factors we are still unsure of today. One of those being anyone wearing a white hat since jocks wore them. it seems although revenge was the motive that day, it was directed to the school body and not the the bullies on an individual level.

So many people have their facts wrong. Eric and Dylan had gone through so much they decided to one day get even. They spent a year preparing. Their original intentions were to blow the school up as well as their cars. Everything was timed accordingly. It was timed so an explosion in the cafeteria would wipe everyone out and the bombs in their vehicles would
