@chalkyami It was just a joke mate, imagine how cool it would be if you saw some f16 take off which is rather impossible, but the idea is fine to me. Don't take it too seriously next time. Good luck with your piper takeoffs..
@DJUygur100 Yea... I want to see you fly anything. You would probably crash and burn. And don't come back with this BS statement on how you have your PPL and found a loophole and can fly an F16. Do you even know what a PPL is(without google)?
@117nathanmyers lol good luck trying to fly an f-16 with your ppl you wouldnt what all the buttons are for haha i have my ppl on a piper pa-28 cherokee and im pre sure i would crash and die if i took off from this lol the wlanding gear would probs brake but i agree with you
@Chopper894 helicopters are bad because: "a plane bay its nature wants to fly. if not interfered by unusual event or an incompetent pilot, it will fly. a helicopter does not want to fly. it is maintained in the air by a variety of forces and controls working in opposition to each other. if there is any disturbancein this balance the helicopter immediately stops to fly." those are not my words, but i totally aggree with the guy who said this (whoever that was/is).
@rmay000 Absolutly correct. A helicopter pilot actually flys the aircraft. It cant fly without him. He has to keep it flying. And thats why I love them. Its the nearest thing to human flight.
@Chopper894 i see your point. however i think that the feeling for the aircraft is much better in a small bushplane than in a helicopter, because you have wires running across the aircraft and you actually feel what the air is doing around you. i don't know how that is in a helicopter but if it's the same, i can understand your opinion. (sorry for my english (i probably made mistakes). i'm german)
@rmay000 You feel everything. You become part of it. Without you a helicopter is a piece of machinery with a part missing. Small helicopters are controled through wires, larger ones by hydrolics. Its been said "you fly an airoplane, you strap on a helicopter" You lift the collective and the world drops away. Take Hovering... You cannot teach a person how to hover as you cant teach a baby to walk. Neural pathways must form making you part of the machine.
@Chopper894 hey, that sounds like you will be a pilot. or are you allready? however: if you are not -> good luck!!! now i understand why helicopters are cool, but for me there's nothing better than planes. let's just leave it that way. (thanks for your opinions on flying. allways nice to "talk" about aviation)
@1fsnl1 Hey please don't let that stop you. I'm 37 and gave up on the fighter pilot dream when I was your age due to becoming short sighted. OK I don't want to kill people but being a fighter pilot is about as good as it gets! Anyway, about 5 years ago I realised my life wouldn't be complete unless I did this thing I love. So now I am nearly finished an aviation degree and just have lots of flying to do! There is a massive pilot shortage looming and there are lots of programs to help ...
@hogey74 ... people train to be pilots. I'm benefiting from one such government-backed scheme in here Australia but they are springing up everywhere. If going commercial doesn't interest you, check out "LSA" aircraft, sport aviation and gliding - even as a poor student you can get in the air and get a taste of it. Then, if you get really addicted, you'll find a way :-) It's easier to learn the muscle-memory skills at your age. By the time ur my age, you could have 20 years flying!
@lipmanss ha ha I've heard. But so many cool aircraft keep coming out of Europe - and there must be an airfield behind every hedge... renting a Cessna and negotiating your crazy airspace is a lifelong ambition. If you see a Cessna being escorted by a couple of f16s in a couple of years its probably me lol
At the end of the video is the Fields Store. If ya happen to drop in, check out the hard ice cream milk shakes. Pops will remember them, they came in a BIG stainless containers AND a glass to drink it in! The prices were very reasonable , too. (The burgers were excellent, also)
I wonder if Old Man Jenkins knows Pops is flyin' in his airspace. Peter French would be turning over in his grave!(;>)!
The least ya could do is fly in and buy something at The Round Barn Visitor Center!
Alright I found this again.

Real pilots take off from hills with f16s, not with pipers.

@DJUygur100 And what do F16 pilots train on?
your clearly an expert on aviation and must be qualified on an F16?
