  • i'm sorry people but as much as i admire Davis, Hendry is the greatest ever and his title count will never be matched!

  • It the same referee who was in charge when Steve Davis made that 147 break against John Spencer

  • STEVE DAVIS!!

  • I saw chinks in Davis' armour for the first time in this final. Although he was a cool collected player, White showed he was vunerable to pressure just like all the other players and the following years final proved just that.

  • both man are legends, they have truly changed snooker.

  • Ofcourse it is. Name me a sport that hasn't "evolved" over the past 20 years. It is a pretty obvious statement you made...

  • Jimmy White,at this time he looks like a human

  • All hail the Nugget!!! World champion 2009! Well, maybe...

  • I enjoy watching all these matches more now than i did the first time around, i have more appreciation for the game now as i am older.

    Thanks madness.

7.30 seconds - steves long red !!!! wow.

  • the legend .

the great steve davis , you are for me the greatest player off all time !!!

    charly

  • Yeah right he is He ain't even in the top 3 all time greats

    Ronnie is the best ever.

  • @bogdychamp

Ronnie isn't worthy to flush away one of Steve's turds.

  • @bogdychamp You must be joking, Steve Davis is a legend. Google Steve Davis Wikipedia and see how many titles he has won, then do the same for Ronnie O'Sullivan, see who has won the most titles. Ronnie is the most talented player ever, but he isn't the best when it comes to winning titles. Not even in the top 3, you are wrong. Any replies with bad language will be ignored and you will be blocked.

  • @Davewise1965 Itdoesn't matter how much a player wins. That only shows how obsessed a player is about winning. Ronnie's dad went to jail when he was 16. That affected him alot, plus he also suffered from drug use and depresion related problems. To compare 2 players in any sport , u compare them when they both are at their best. And Ronnie's best is above Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry's best. Just like Ayrton Senna at his best is above Michael Schumacher at his best.

  • @bogdychamp You must be joking, it matters a lot how much a player wins. Most players want to win as many titles as they can in their career. Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry were players like this. It has nothing to do with being obsessed with winning. I agree that Ronnie is the most naturally talented player ever, but no one forced him to take drugs. Playing brilliant snooker is great, but it's all about winning those big finals and holding up the trophy at the end of the tournament that counts.

  • @Davewise1965 Ronnie wasn't that obsessed with winning like Davis and Hendry that's why he hasn't won as much as they did. And as I said before Ronnie's best is above Hendry's or Davis's best. That what makes him the best player in history.

  • @bogdychamp Why are statements about Ronnie are always qualified with "at his best"? Because quite often he isn't. Davis and Hendry were at their best most of the time, and were usually still able to win even when not playing well. Greatness is not just about talent but converting that talent into success. Think Federer would be considered the greatest tennis player ever if he'd never won a Grand Slam?

  • @FlaviusConstantius Ronnie won the World Championship 3 times, so he converted a small amount of his talent into succes, but if he would of converted it all, he would have 10 World Championships, 10 Masters and 50 ranking events titles. But u are partially right : he's an underachiever. However watch him when he's in the mood and playing well . Then watch the rest . It so much easier 4 him. That's why he's the BEST EVER .

    ( Steve Davis + Stephen Hendry ) * 100 = Ronnie "The Rocket" O'Sullivan .

  • @bogdychamp Tony Drago used to look invincible when he was in the mood and playing well. But what about when he wasn't? Most talented ever, sure, but greats like Hendry and Davis also had the mental edge which Ronnie often lacks. Would haves mean nothing. You can only go by what actually happened. As I said, no one would say Federer was the greatest ever if hadn't proved it by winning more majors than anyone else.

  • @charlydersinnliche

He's just beaten world no.1, John Higgins! Go the Nugget!
