@johnend2end if you get fat, eat right and exercise. that is normal. if u sit at home doing nothing you will get fat, i did too when i started on methadone, but then i ate right and started exercising. I use 100 mg and i can get a hard on no problem, Viagra?? maybe there are some other issues with your genitals. The sweating is really crappy but i got some medecine that keeps me frim not sweating like a pig, works like a charm. talk to your doctor

@MisterBorg9 You are absolutely right. When I said she has been clean for about two years, I meant that she has been off of methadone for about two years and is free of all drug habits. She got into a good program, stuck with it and weaned herself off of methadone.

A meth patient on a stable dose does not get high. therefore it is just as diffulcult for that person to stay off drugs and alchol as it is for a person in AA or NA or someone doing it using antabuse or soboxone or religion or outpatient programs. Its 2011, through research and broader thinking we come to realize sobriety can be obtained through many viable options.

Things are somewhat different where I am, but is are still a large failure rate. You don't really hear about success stories, because the stigma of methadone could threaten their 'success'
@richardmclaughlin007 NOBODY on 270mg of methadone is doing dope. Above about 50mg, there is no amount of dope you can shoot that will you high. You might feel it a little for a minute or 2 and that's about it. Methadone has a success rate of over 85%, nothing else even comes close in addiction treatment.

@BizzareCorpse Depending on where you live, getting caught with even 1 bag of dope could get you state prison time. If you live in a large crime ridden city like Philadelphia, you would probably get probation and fines, but further out it's jail time then prison time (for small rural counties. Be careful.
@christo930 Ive only been caught once an i got 6 mos ARD probation an 180 dollar fine.All i had to do was not get arrested for 6 mos.But my p.o never called me an never had to do a piss test.Im sure where i live the county outside philly i wouldve got a year probation an more supervision.But i dont see a 1st offense anywhere in the U.S doing time.In philly it was a total joke.But it was a pain in the ass going to court.I had to go to court once just to get another court date.
@BizzareCorpse You lucked out getting ARD, even in Philadelphia. I don't know what county you live in, but I know people from Montgomery, bucks, Delaware and Chester county that all did jail time for a couple bags of dope. By the time you get caught, you are usually shooting multiple bags a day and getting caught with 5 bags and needles (unless you have the needle card) will get you jail time in most of the counties.

@BizzareCorpse I live in Philly, never been arrested, but I worked at a large (the largest) methadone clinic in Philly and I have talked to dozens of people. There is dope in the rural counties. They drive down to Philly, but a brick ($500, 60 bags) and sell them for $30 a piece. In PA you go to state prison for anything above 23.5 months. I know a girl who did time in Lehigh country and celled with a girl who got caught with 1 bag of dope and got 11 1/2 to 23, just under state time 1st offense.

@BizzareCorpse In PA any sentence larger than 23 1/2 months is state time and anything 23 1/2 and less is county jail. There are benefits to both. You can't smoke in the county and you can get medicated in the county, even after you are convicted as long as your sentence is 23 1/2 months or less. Once you go upstate, no detox, just a cold cell and cold turkey detox.

Be careful down somerset, once in a blue moon some asshole starts putting fentynal in heroin and addicts line up around the block to die. There was this shit called white powder a few years ago killed like 25 people in a month. You really shouldn't have too much problems getting done on the streets around somerset, cheaper than dope and lasts a lot longer.

@BizzareCorpse Fentanyl is also unpredictable and has different effects on different people. I also read the fentanyl has derivatives that an amateur chemist messing with it can accidentally make that makes the fentanyl hundreds of times more powerful than morphine, compared to it's normal 80x. Even heroinhelper com recommends you stay away from it.

@BizzareCorpse Tolerance increases incredibly fast. I have heard of people picking up after years of sobriety and within a week are doing 5 bags a day and two weeks or so and it's a bundle a day. Heroin lies in every conceivable way. It tells you it's cheap, when it's expensive, it tells you it feels good and then makes you feel like shit every day and becomes a full time job, Heroin even lies about what it is... Heroin is a pro-drug, it is metabolized into morphine before it hits your receptors

Theres no other methadone users, wtf. There are many programs out there where its free and you can get on suboxone. In los angeles get got a few free programs going and it works if you work it. ez
you all guys are dumb stupid, just buy a quarter gram of brown raw heroin get a syringe put about 35- 40 units of water in a spoon, mix heroin with the water then flame up a lighter under it until the heroin dissolves, throw a cotton ball in the mix put the syringe on the cotton then wrap your arm with a belt of exercising band and then put the syringe in your arm going towards your and then draw back the syringe till you see blood, then BAM slam that shit in and wait about 10 seconds n wait.

The woman in this "interview" seems like she's been a junky for many years. She doesn't seem to be very educated- and seems to have poor hygiene. However, that's not the case for most methadone patients.

I used to go to the clinic but stopped early February to get on Suboxone. Now, I'm free from the clinic, don't get tired mid-day and fall asleep, have energy, and best of all, like I said- no more going to the clinic. Freedom at last!
Yes, most people that went to my clinic were dressed nice. But it's a business-based town.
isnt suboxone stronger than methadone? or just about equal? isnt it going to be a bitch to get off suboxone? my doc wanted me to switch to suboxone when i got down to 30 mg at my methadone taper. i personally think it was for money. i have coverage so they can bill more for the suboxone than the methadone. the clinic i go to really has no interest in helping anyone that wants to get off the done. its either stay where im at or go up in your dose.
Methadone- is a full agonist, just like heroin, oxycontin, ect...
Suboxone- is a half agonist- which means it's only part opiate.
Methadone fills the whole opiate receptor and does the same thing heroin and pain-pills do. Suboxone only partially fills the receptor so you can start making chemicals again and feel life without opiates somewhat.
I've seen many people come off Sub and get clean. I never have for methadone.
In the morning- about an hour after my dose of methadone- I'd get a slight buzz/glow for a few hours. But with Suboxone- I don't get that.
Suboxone is more expensive if you don't have insurance that covers it. However, if you need help paying for it- contact me and I'll get you some info on medical assisting programs. Okay?

For every tax dollar spent on methadone treatment 4 tax dollars are saved in money that would of been spent on treating a heroin user, in Jails hospitals detoxes courts and thats not counting costs saved in property loss because treated addicts who are no longer dope sick dont steal for heroin anymore. Also many clients are self pay because they became well enough to get jobs and pay taxes.

@BizzareCorpse You go way back huh? 17th and Jefferson has been closed down for years from what I know. Be careful down somerset, once in a blue moon some asshole starts putting fentynal in heroin and addicts line up around the block to die. There was this shit called white powder a few years ago killed like 25 people in a month. You really shouldn't have too much problems getting done on the streets around somerset, cheaper than dope and lasts a lot longer.

@christo930 6 ppl just died an plenty sick from that in camden..So ive been scared it might be in philly..It came here in the summer of 06" an 3 of my friends died from it..I got it once,an know it was fentanyl cause what addicts dont know is it basically doesnt get u high..I mean i just remember shooting it up then waking up on my bathroom floor with the worst headache ever..Dealers do it when there heroin sucks so addicts think its really good dope..

@BizzareCorpse Fentanyl is also unpredictable and has different effects on different people. I also read the fentanyl has derivatives that an amateur chemist messing with it can accidentally make that makes the fentanyl hundreds of times more powerful than morphine, compared to it's normal 80x. Even heroinhelper com recommends you stay away from it.

@christo930 I havent been there since 96' back then u didnt have to get out of ur to even cop..The cops didnt give a shit about drugs from what i saw..I was only on oxys b4 it became so expensive i tried heroin an 10 bucks was like doin 3 /80mg oxys,..It was heaven till i learned ur tolerance doubles in a week or two..

@BizzareCorpse Tolerance increases incredibly fast. I have heard of people picking up after years of sobriety and within a week are doing 5 bags a day and two weeks or so and it's a bundle a day. Heroin lies in every conceivable way. It tells you it's cheap, when it's expensive, it tells you it feels good and then makes you feel like shit every day and becomes a full time job, Heroin even lies about what it is... Heroin is a pro-drug, it is metabolized into morphine before it hits your receptors

@christo930 I guess what pisses me off is the scumbags who abuse methadone,take xanax with it an die..Ya know what fuck them,its no excuse why people who want to resume a normal working life shouldnt get it..I didnt do any other drugs on it..I was on 90 milligrams for a year an half.Its a miracle cure..Why not be prescribed it ??,its cheap,its like 15 cents for a dose..But addicts have to jump through hopes to get it..

Hey all, I'm prescribed 240 80mg Oxycontin and 180 2mg Xanax bars a month and am willing to help anybody out who is in pain and needs some meds for real cheap but can't afford a doctor for whatever reason. Theres no other methadone users, wtf. There are many programs out there where its free and you can get on suboxone. In los angeles get got a few free programs going and it works if you work it. ez

you all guys are dumb stupid, just buy a quarter gram of brown raw heroin get a syringe put about 35- 40 units of water in a spoon, mix heroin with the water then flame up a lighter under it until the heroin dissolves, throw a cotton ball in the mix put the syringe on the cotton then wrap your arm with a belt of exercising band and then put the syringe in your arm going towards your and then draw back the syringe till you see blood, then BAM slam that shit in and wait about 10 seconds n wait.

@mentaller1 Works for them ?, that's a new one. I havent yet heard of anyone in the entire history of drugs who has used meth recreationally and not ended up like zombified human wrecks. If you're thinking of mushrooms or pot it's another story of debate i guess.

Now that I am being judgmental or anything, well at least for the most part.
The woman in this "interview" seems like she's been a junky for many years. She doesn't seem to be very educated- and seems to have poor hygiene. However, that's not the case for most methadone patients.
Most of the patients at my clinic are clean cut, nice, good looking people. Of course, you do have some of the others. No hate.
This is just a bad depiction.

what kind of addicts go to your clinic? clean,good looking people. the only way you should be on methadone is if you had a really bad habit. and if thats the case,you aint gonna look after yourself.
theres kids who go to my clinic who were addicted to percocet. and now they are on methadone. i feel real bad for them if they think getting off this shit is easy. and going on it for percs. fuck me. oxycontin too. you cant compare oxycontin to methadone.

Yeah- just as you can't compare heroin to methadone either. Realistically, even if you were on heroin for ten years, methadone is still stronger and harder to get off of.
I used to go to the clinic but stopped early February to get on Suboxone. Now, I'm free from the clinic, don't get tired mid-day and fall asleep, have energy, and best of all, like I said- no more going to the clinic. Freedom at last!
Yes, most people that went to my clinic were dressed nice. But it's a business-based town.

isnt suboxone stronger than methadone? or just about equal? isnt it going to be a bitch to get off suboxone? my doc wanted me to switch to suboxone when i got down to 30 mg at my methadone taper. i personally think it was for money. i have coverage so they can bill more for the suboxone than the methadone. the clinic i go to really has no interest in helping anyone that wants to get off the done. its either stay where im at or go up in your dose.

Is Suboxone stronger than methadone? HELL NO.
Methadone- is a full agonist, just like heroin, oxycontin, ect...
Suboxone- is a half agonist- which means it's only part opiate.
Methadone fills the whole opiate receptor and does the same thing heroin and pain-pills do. Suboxone only partially fills the receptor so you can start making chemicals again and feel life without opiates somewhat.
I've seen many people come off Sub and get clean. I never have for methadone.

Now, I'm not against either. I've used both.
In the morning- about an hour after my dose of methadone- I'd get a slight buzz/glow for a few hours. But with Suboxone- I don't get that.
Suboxone is more expensive if you don't have insurance that covers it. However, if you need help paying for it- contact me and I'll get you some info on medical assisting programs. Okay?

@cobb864 I'm in college for drug counseling and a recovering heroin addict for 15years ( i started using dope real early as a kid). Methadone certainly does work and millions of people have used meth to get off drugs and stay clean. Educate yourself on the harm reduction statistics that methadone produces. ALL OF YOU ARE UNEDUCATED IDIOTS WHO KNOCK METH.

@EdinAmmar You r right I hate people who hate something because of what they think they know about it. For every tax dollar spent on methadone treatment 4 tax dollars are saved in money that would of been spent on treating a heroin user, in Jails hospitals detoxes courts and thats not counting costs saved in property loss because treated addicts who are no longer dope sick dont steal for heroin anymore. Also many clients are self pay because they became well enough to get jobs and pay taxes.

This dude found the most obvious person to interview to reinforce the stigma and sterotypical people with drug problems. It was the most biased non objective patronizing interview I ever saw. I guess thats why its on you tube and not tv or in a newspaper or magizine. My 12 year old niece could of found this obvious looking person and asked the same stupid questions
