I really like this movie :D I also watch the BBC mini series THE LIFE AND LOVES OF A SHE DEVIL, and it was true to the book. compare to this movie, the tv series was darker. But I still love this movie

Ah, I can't get enough of this film. Ruth becomes confident, independent, and helps countless women find better jobs. Her husband learns humility and hands-on work. Mary Fischer rights a GOOD book.  Hell, the kids even get a better set of parents from all this.

@blacklotus1991 And notice how many of the women that are walking down the street with her have on red? My friends couldn't understand why or how her eyes did that. And I told them because she was a she-devil, but a good one. It meant Ruth had the power, and she overcame it all.

BEST REVENGE MOVIE EVER. I remember watching this movie as a kid and it's still as good as it was back then. Every woman that was hurt by a man should have this movie in her dvd collection. The red eyes still makes me laugh.

I love the ending so much. I don't think Ruth and Bob got back together, but let's say, she forgave, and there's nothing wrong being friends.Ruth was right, people can change, it just takes something to wake them up to it. I don't care what the critics said about this movie. It was a well loved story about karma. I love stories like that, because people always get it in the end, and characters like Ruth come out on top. And her walking down the street with all of those women, VICTORY for all!

I've compared this with the original BBC miniseries 1983, an interesting experience. The tv serial has a darker tone, actors and their psychology are more subtile and Rose's transformation really spectacular. The American version is a parody.of the British version and I dislike the almost careless ending. But in other regards, She Devil is certainly fun. And Streep's timing and mimics and charisma never stop to amaze. Excellent performances from Miles and Hunt as well.

I wonder if Robert grew up eventually to be a good father and husband ? :) But I doubt Ruth would take him back ever anyway. I'm sure he'd tried at some point that :D This movie is so great. Gave great message to start loving yourself and start changes in life and also to help justice a little bit. Ruth definietly deserved such ending. She got her inner beauty out and in result looked great outside too in the end :)
