  • Well, the colour is appropriate. You have a whole line of cowardly bullies and bigots all waving yellow signs.

  • Randy Phillips, who has been a YouTube sensation with his phone call to his dad video, has made a fun film on just this very topic. Do not miss the YouTube video:

"Gay Marriage Should Be Illegal" by AreYouSuprised

  • Orange county...home of the fake, plastic, corrupt, one dimensional, judgmental, hate filled, backward rejects who are everything that is wrong with America(aka~ corporate America and the conomic mess we find ourselves in)thanks for showing your asses to the world OC.Just remember you can't get away with that crap here in L.A where you will be met with a whole lot more than waves and veneered smiles.Gay rights rally tommorrow in OC expected to draw 40,000 gays. Thanks for uniting a community!

  • It is so interesting how many people for the NO say that the Yes side is Discriminatory. My church has taken a lot of discrimination over taking a moral stand on this issue and I have seen a lot of Hate geared toward people on the YES who are peacefully holding signs trying to promote a view. It is just so ironic to me how there is a certain anger kindled when people's opionions should be respected just like I show respect to Gay's and want them to live freely, I don't have to condone it.

  • regiballs, you are so blatantly hypoctitical. I do not belong to a "side". The crime is religious organizations using huge amounts of money funding a bill and running a campaign filled with fear and distortions. I believe in separation of church and State, so it seems so outrageous to me that these cults have this much hatred for people who do no harm. How can you deny your discriminatory? Are you delusional? The bill is saying a group of people should be denied their rights. What is that?

  • News flash....CAL voted and you lost! Isn't a democracy great...thankgoodness we are entiled to our own opinions...Thank you for expressing yours in such a loving way...that is what your words are, merely opionion and Fortunatley most people don't agree with you. They have the same rights as everyone else. We are merely speaking about the way in which a society defines marriage. Any society that equivocates these two types of relationships as one in same is delusional.

  • ragingballs, I did not lose. I see this as a futile war between the major churches (hate cults) and the regular people of our society. What you like to ignore is the fact that this was a major ballot initiative paid for by highly organized and rich religious groups. To me it's less about gays as it is about religion funding bills and influencing law. Your old funky ragged book is so full of hate and you focus on such small parts of what it says and you worry about it. Why?

  • hey smarty Maybe you should know the facts. The No side actually funded over a few million more. How hypocritical this whole thing is! You speak of hate and all I see from the NO is anger and persectution because YOU can't tolerate another view. I know for a fact my church did not fund a dime...It was the members who are passionate about the issue that did. Disagreeing with a lifestyle that is trying to legitimize it's behavior I know to be wrong doesn't make it hate or intolerance. Wake up!

  • rageballer, This bill was created and funded by a group of churches. The fact that their followers contributed is just as sad. This is not just another point of view. This is a separation of Church and State issue. I do not believe in hate based religion, and I do not trust you to tell us what is right and wrong. You can pick and choose what you want to believe from your outdated fable book, but I choose to live in a progressive thinking world. Unfortunately I am a minority in that regard.

  • Obviously we have very different views and can agree to disagree. There was nothing done that was illegal by the contributers excercising their rights. We all have the rights to uphold our ideals in this society and we have already learned what it means to do so with unfair accusations. We are not imposing them on anyone else by keeping marriage defined as it has always been. Gays have the SAME rights but I don't think it is about that piece of paper, there is a hidden deeper agenda. I am done!

  • I never used the word "illegal". This isn't as simple as agreeing to disagree. Tell me, do you believe in the concept of Church and State? Then tell me why you worry about others, especially the ones who don't belong to your cult? By keeping people from doing what they want by using tax exempt cults to lobby for their own fear based propositions is imposing don't ya think? The hidden agenda is people who fear gays are the weird ones who do sick stuff behind closed doors...the most gay people.

  • Yes I beleive in separation of church and state. Churches should stay out unless what is going on will have a direct affect on freedom of religion. The issue is exactly what is going on in MASS..know the facts! Lawsuits galore for religious intitutions who simply cannot comply to adopt our marry to these people because of their beleifs. It is not about fearing gays, for religious people it is about what is right and wrong. Tolerance goes both ways! Remember that when you so harshly judge.

  • Um, I don't understand your grammar on your first sentence. Are you talking about gay married couples who want to marry in the church? Nice way to twist it around. If you don't fear gays, please explain what is right and wrong. What hurts you? Are you saying I am intolerant because I reject archaic indoctrination by people stuck in the dark ages? I've never been preached to by anyone other than jesus freaks trying to push their agenda. Ever. If you kept to yourself we wouldn't have a problem.

  • Smartin1, No on Prop 8 would have indeed taken away from religious freedom to all religions not complying to marry or adopt to these couples. this is much bigger than Most of you NO voters realize. This is crossing the line so HOORAY for prop 8 passing! We love Gay people and I know many of them. why shld they take offense because 56% view their relationship different then that of a man and woman's. teaching my children that one is equal to the other would be doing them a diservice.

  • ragingballs, Why can't religious cults just impose rules that pertain to their cult followers? They already tell priests they can't marry, and they're gay as hell. When will you realize I don't want your freaky leaders taking any "moral" stand for me at all. Your morals represent hate, fear, and hypocritical sickness. You always say do it for the children. The children learn hate and religious intolerance from their parents. You parents are hate breeders, sad, small, sick, people.

  • All you supporters are awesome...I don't live in Cali but everyone is watching to see what happens around the world. You guys set a precedence for the country and I appreciate what you are doing..the affects on our children and religion will be far reaching if this doesn't pass....YES ON PROP 8! Its about FREEDOM to believe and worship according to your faith. THANK YOU!

  • So gays take that away from you? I am not gay, and hardly know any. Who cares? The church cares. The worst thing about these homophobic racist churches is that they are funding the changing of Constitutional law!! Stop church based racism and fear! Stop parental taught racism, hatred and fear! Most of the church people are so gay anyway, along with all priests. Scary OC!

  • With all the things that are going on right now, this is what you guys take to the streets for? How can you stand out there for this fear based issue when there's an illegal war going on? Do you read the obituaries? All you people have so much fear and hatred. You must scare your children. You know that really solidifies my firm belief. PARENTS ARE THE BIGGEST THREAT TO CHILDREN. They learn all their hate, racism, and bigotry from them, and religious ignorance is taught by them. Sad people.

  • Vote no on 8. Vote against hate and discrimination. Vote for love.

  • YAY for prop 8! How wonderful that so many people got together to peacefully show their vote. It is so saddening that others can be so disrespectful when others have a different point of view. Interesting that so much hate, and ugliness is actually coming from the oppositional side. Standing up for what you believe to be right (on either side of an issue) is a good thing.

  • THANK YOU ORANGE COUNTY!!! WOOOOO HOOOO. VOTE YES ON PROP 8. Lets stop Adult desires from taking over the needs of our kids!! VOTE YES ON PROP 8!!.

  • Anyone who is this passionate about "YES" is either a bigot, or a closet case. Seriously, homosexual marriage does not effect your life. You can't convince me otherwise either. Everyone is just full of hate, ignorance, and bigotry. It's the same as racism. You should all be ashamed.

  • I'm not a closet case, so I must be a bigot! Thanks Obama for teaching me that Marriage between gays couples should not be allowed! Go figure, a black man said that. He must be a bigot too.

    VOTE

    YES
