!0 planet always has aswome well explained vids great instrution.Does anyone know if how expensive it is to join? The one in la cause im live in long beach.
these vids are awsome dude thank you very much for up loading them i find them very easy to see and understand you explain them very well. its clear to see that you are a great teacher once again thank you very much. i will be trying these out at training.
Looks like a great move, but it looks like it would be pretty easy to roll the person in mount once they go to put your arm behind the neck before they get the knee up the shoulder. I'll have to give a shot on Monday. Thanks.
Lol if I would be on top of someone like that in a fight I wouldn't bother breaking his arm that way, I would smash the bastard's face until he passes out.
I just watched these videos for the first time, I am very impressed by what i see and how easy they look(i'm sure they are easy to do as well). I am going into the Air Force in about a month and moving up to WA in Sept. so hopefully you have classes up there i'll have to look them up and join:-)
BJJ Rules here in Ontario state that you can't touch the "mask" of the face, so you can put your hands on the forehead and chin, but nothing from the eyes down to the mouth... Not sure how rules work in other areas though.
IF u guys were in toronto i would join ur class, nonetheless ty for the videos u guys are awesome. Im 35 just started jiujitsu, kick my ass i didnt take it 10 15 years ago. I feel i have so much to learn
thank you so much for the videos ....i got no money for a gym n i spar wit ha bigger guy then me....we got zero Jiu jitsu...n this videos open my eyes to so many things..i always get stuck in full mount..side mount..n blank..now i got a chance..thanks ...keep 'em comin great videos
This happens to me a lot - I'll get mount and then they'll grab onto me, and I don't know what to do from there, so I usually get reversed. I will use this today. Thank you!!!
Thanks for posting some badass videos. You guys have some of the best instructional vids on youtube. Where is your school based out of? I train in Massachusetts.
I was curious about that as well, it seems that you have no "table leg" on the one side. But I guess being so high on the torso means that his bridge won't effect you so much.
This move is used regularly in MMA (or at least a variation of it). Mounted position (high mount) with the guy doing a double under). The guy on top pushes on the face and presses the leg in the break the hold. Whatever you want to believe or works for you fine. What works for you, might not work for others and vice versa.
Yes, the guy on the botton will ofter get double under hooks and push his face to the belly. The guy on top will get high mount and push the head to the mat.
When you take the gangsta lean. He would be able to bridge and reverse you, am I right? What can you do to prevent that? Because it's seems easy to reverse by doing the bridge.
We touch upon this in several threads on our forum and Lock flow. It is all about smashing his face with your chest, squeezing tight with the knee near his head. Nothing is 100% but someone good at this can have great control! Just got to put in the reps!
Awesome man. I took 3 years of Vee-Arnis Russian Jiu Jitsu years ago in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn and fell in love with it. Your videos are inspiring me to get back into it. Thanks!
Q: When setting up for the initial armbar, would it help to straighten your (in this case) right arm and use your back to leverage the elbow? I notice that you're using more your leg's pushing as a leverage point, which means it'd have to be very tight to work. (just thinking how to make the escape harder)
Your explanations are so clear that I can learn about groundfighting (and see how intricate it is) even though I don't train and know nothing else about it.
Well, you are surely doing the greatest job possible of that, and I really appreciate all of the big effort that you are putting into getting the awareness of the art that is jiu jitsu out there in the world, as it got my interest from the first video that I have watched on your channel. It's really awesome, and I love what you're doing, so once again, thank you, keep up what is definitely the greatest of work, and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to see some more great stuff from Submissions 101.
That's some brilliant stuff right there. Before I started watching videos from Submissions101, I had absolutely no ground knowledge when it comes to fighting, so I always tried to keep everything vertical (in fights, that is), but since then, I have learned a lot from you and all your awesome, yet very simple, step-by-step tutorials. Keep up the great work, guys, because I look forward to seeing some more great things from you, as things should only get better from here on out. Thanks a lot. :-)
This move is fricken gangstah. Thanks for posting!

don't have to worry about that too much when you're in mount

Is pushing the face like that really legit in a tournament? Looks a bit brutal applying both hands like that on his cheek.
Rustiax999 2 years ago
Sure is. No direct pressure to the throat--its legal and no worse than getting framed with a forearm.

in the context of street defense, whould you consider it better to, perhaps, press to the throat? Thnx.
firebat71 2 years ago
cross facing is probably one of the best moves in grappling. works even better if you use your for-arm

Nope..once you practice it, it is very hard to get out of. Great attack position.

wtf... this is the commonest situation on MMA, the guy on the botton have a double under to protect from punches, this work just incredible on MMA

Yes, the guy on the botton will ofter get double under hooks and push his face to the belly. The guy on top will get high mount and push the head to the mat.
