afaik, the co-driver aspect hasn't really been elaborated on (the game is pre-alpha status right now, so a lot hasnt even been started yet), I seem to recall some talk of being able to watch races from inside other peoples cars, and possibly hot-seat online multiplayer and endurance racing (also Project CARS will have a rally aspect, where there is a use for a co-driver, though I would assume those will be automated and not player controlled)

@666jealous666 Well it depends on if the controller for the wii u has motion controls. If it does, expect a giant "condom". The "condom" for the wiimote was actually pretty useful. I have been hit in the eye with a wii remote, and I couldn't see for a day. The cushions are for safety! :D

The game is still in development (its pre-alpha status right now), there will be hands on the wheels in the final release (one car just got animated hands in this weeks build), and they seem to be really good ones, even the basic version they just made seem to be almost as good as Forza's hands, then once more advanced versions are done theyll be better than GT5's (you should even be able to change the gloves/colors/etc of them once their finally done.)

@OriginalBloodAce no because dev. kits are not as advanced as the last model. i've handled the 3ds dev. kit for a while and it only has dev. tools noooooooo apps, actually you can't even play final made games in them.

The dev kit being finalized doesn't mean the wii u won't LOOK any different, but it means the cpu and graphics are staying the same. Otherwise they'd have to rewrite the dev tools.

@2007pepsilover The only negative about the WiiU controller I have is the analog sliders instead of sticks, but I totally see why they did it. After all, I expect most if not all games will be compatible with the Wiimote and nunchuck anyway, so you get to choose which you prefer.

@ASteelersMidget No they'll still be used. And they won't die. I don't see why you hate them so much, but Motion Controls will continue to be supported. The only issue with them is they are new tech and devs don't know how to fully utilize it in an intuitive way. If you've paid any attention to any good Motion Games like Red Steel 2 or even Skyward Sword you would know that issue is slowly becoming a thing of the past and devs have a better idea of how to use them. Dual Analog had the same issue
