sorry my last comment was meant to say in other countries not 'questions' and i was meant to say its bad that from 9 months they say you can turn them forward when the minimum should be 2 if you look at actual decent crash dummy tests, compare rear facing crash tests on youtube with forward and that should help so many parents to change their mind about rear facing (although i know a few ppl who went into denial mode instead, just sum misconceptions but rear facing isnt difficult)
good for you keeping them rear facing, i think in some questions they legaly have to be until 6 (am i right?) and 4 in others, but for some reason in the UK and i think US it's as young as 9 months before you can turn them forward which is mad considering that rear facing is so much safer and protects from interal decapitation which happens in a crash when a child (who is NOT a small adult and doesnt have strong neck) forward faces in a car,. Nyway thanks for sharing, Mummy to Lily x
@meganparma we have a pathfinder which ive heard is a little cheaper than the expedition! we just got it and loooove it! the 2005's and up all have a third row which is amazing!!!!!!
@cdmd1023 if you don't use the base, then that is exactly how those car seats should be put in. It is safe, and correct. The base is better, of course.
@cdmd1023 yes it is safe to do that as long as you pull the belt very tight and then lock it. however using a base with the latch system is the best option but if you are in someone elses car who doesnt have a matching base the seat belt works just fine.
@amandakerns426 They aren't fluffy at all. It may look that way in the vid (i haven't watched it out) but they aren't fluffy at all. NOt sure if u know but these are made for car seats ...like specifically for car seats
Im a first time mom to a 5 week old boy, so I'm a little new to all of this, I know rear facing is the safest option and best for the child, but i was wondering how long you plan on keeping jacelyn rear faced and how long do you recommend rear facing for? :o)

Is it really safe to use the seat belt across the car seat carrier that way? I always wondered how secure it would be.
cdmd1023 5 months ago
@cdmd1023 I dunno? Their Momma's installed their seats that way.

@TheCarly1123 When it's no longer the safest option for her to be rear facing. Naturally I want what is safest & this is it currently.
