This was a really nice from last to first dash by the Japanese filly Red Desire to pass Gloria De Campeao at the wire. Especially with the likes of another Japanese great filly, Vodka, Cavalryman, LIzard's Desire, and some other great horses in this race. But, IMO, although Red Desire is probably one of Japan's better fillies, I don't think she's quite as consistent in finding the wire as Buena Vista. Who, with Vodka nearing the end of her career, is IMO the best of Japan's horses period. JMO.
