I found a chest with coal and seeds, and some place that appears to have had occupants in it before. Apart from that, I have a fork in the cave on the other side. It looked so wierd. Some walls looked manmade. Here's the statistics: it took 50 minutes to light it up, there's till gold and diamond and lapis I didn't mine, and it took more than 150 torches. I found a massive one yesterday through a small hole in the surface. I swear it goes on forever, and I found 4 diamonds. I also found a huge waterfall next to a lavafall, and one river fell through the floor to another level. Plus, I found a huge river of fire. I finally escaped by swimming up a waterfall that opened up on the bottom of the ocean. It was awesome.
I've found a bigger one. It doesnt end. My brother and i were exploring it for two weeks and never found and end to it. We're pretty sure that it stretches underneath the entire map. We stopped mining iron because there was so much of it that it wasnt really all that useful anymore. never had to make picks. The only thing we couldnt actually find was monster spawners. But yeah, i think it literally stretched all the way across my world

Yea you think YOU have it bad? I have found 3 of those endless cave systems.. Right now I have all the resources I will ever need including over 80 diamonds and there is still more for me to mine and explore!!
ive been in a cave like this for weeks now. and everytime i try to find my way out, i seem to dig myself into another part of the cave thats twice as big as the last...its pissing me off, compasses don't help when your in a maze thousands of feet underground....
@Swood44 i know the feeling. every time it seems like the cave stops and you can build like a home you dig a little further and boom! you're in another fucking huge room!
A tip to anyone worried about getting lost, always put torches on the left hand wall of wherever yyour heading, simple trick to help you fnd your way back.

Hey Miler, so like, my very first map my very first cave, I'm not trying to brag, but is about 6-8 times larger than what you have here. I'm HONESTLY curious as to whether I have some sort of record.
To help aid with giving you an image of the size: I have found 98 diamonds, 4 dungeons, and have placed 679 torches to light the place up. HAVE NOT FOUND END.
i broke into a cave that goes from the surface to bedrock and ive used 200 torches so far and have only explored what i believe is a quarter of it ive already found 20 natural obsidian 30 gold 2 diamonds too many coal and iron to count and i am now currently lost in it lol
I have a cave system just like this maybe bigger what i did was go left then when its splits go left and so on then i mine it out then i block it off to make sure i dont go that way and get lost iv spend around 10 hours in mine about half way done :S
you should move ur base and use ur never ending cave for mining to make a huge house so big u put up signs just to find ur way around and then connect ur house to the cave w/ a tunnelthat u can close so monsters dont sneak into ur base
I got a never ending cave system once.. I used over 400 torches. I was trying to record it... and then.... my computer crashed. The minecraft files got lost and I dont have an endless cave now ;( ;( ;( ;( :(
A good idea to do with this is to download a cartographer program for minecraft and take a screenshot of all the underground cave's and put a link in the description so we can see it.
Me and a friend found a series of caves so big, I swear the whole world was pretty much the caves. you cant dig straight down anywhere without finding a cave. (not that you should, thats just stupid) we are going to make a video once we make every cave a cubic block. (We will be doing that until we cannot find an ore besides stone)

i found one like yours 4 days ago. I thought it was pretty small untill i mined some redsone and opend up the other 3/4 of the cave. 13 diamonds later, Ive blocked all the lava and water and started to use the mine for iron. I've found a cave system when I started playing and I've yet to fully explore it.
It it seriously too big. It's like all the caves combined, and once I reach a dead end, I just need to dig some dirt or something and, bingo, another huge cave connected to the previous one.
It goes on all directions, and I already have around 15 cave exits very distant from each other. Sadly, I've only found a patch of diamond ore.
I've had 4 seperate areas like this and I go "fuck fuck fuck" in my head everytime I find epic caves, I was trying to spelunk(official word for cave exploring) on normal mode, and I quickly got creepered from a hole in the surface above me, so I switched to peaceful =D epic caves kick ass and scare the shit outta me, so I've resorted to strip mining on diamond level
awesome cave man ;) I just discovered the biggest one I've found so far in my games, so far I've used up 64 torches, found more valuable materials then I've ever seen in one place and it has lava and water all over the place. it's kinda like you had, I eventually went like, no, stop, please! Now I need to make another batch of torches to see what else is in there, but even if I light it all up I probably am going to get lost xD
@CyberneticSoldier Update, 128 torches later I've found a way out of the cave system, it's on an island relatively nearby (but far enough away to not have a clue where I am xD Luckily there still is cartographer ^^), but other then another way out I still have quite a bit of exploring to do xD (felt good to be back on the surface again though, those tunnels get really claustrophobic after a while xD)
That might be a huge cave buddy...but you havent seen SHIT until you have seen mine. I just found an extremley tiny island with a little cave in it, but what i didnt know was that it was the largest i have EVER seen in my entire life. Its just...enormous... i startet exploring it for about 2 days ago, im STILL finding new stuff in it.

I found a bigger cave.. then i found the coolest thing evar.. A massive lavafall that went down for about 60 blocks, and across on the other side of this massive chasm the lavafall was on, 30 blocks down, another one.. I tried to collect some lava but it wouldnt let me, and I fell and died.. i lost my diamond pickaxe >.> and all mah stuff great >.>

@CyberneticSoldier Update, 128 torches later I've found a way out of the cave system, it's on an island relatively nearby (but far enough away to not have a clue where I am xD Luckily there still is cartographer ^^), but other then another way out I still have quite a bit of exploring to do xD (felt good to be back on the surface again though, those tunnels get really claustrophobic after a while xD)

That might be a huge cave buddy...but you havent seen SHIT until you have seen mine. I just found an extremley tiny island with a little cave in it, but what i didnt know was that it was the largest i have EVER seen in my entire life. Its just...enormous... i startet exploring it for about 2 days ago, im STILL finding new stuff in it.

dude this is olmost as big as my cave i found in the middle of the ocean :) i went so fucking deepp (sorry for language) that i found like volcanos and stuff like red and gold ore thats was so deep i went down like for an hour and it didnt stop then i died off falling in to a volcano :)

I found a bigger cave.. then i found the coolest thing evar.. A massive lavafall that went down for about 60 blocks, and across on the other side of this massive chasm the lavafall was on, 30 blocks down, another one.. I tried to collect some lava but it wouldnt let me, and I fell and died.. i lost my diamond pickaxe >.> and all mah stuff great >.>
