  • I like the JAY Z in the backround

  • it won't have any bubbles if u do it the right way. it will look just...perfect!!

...still... i can't b bothered doing this shit in like 20 books or watever every year. i used to do it in the elementary school years (it was like almost mandatory to do it in my school) ....actually my mom used to do the whole job... i was just watching cuz 1 i couldn't b bothered doing it XD and 2 the results would probably b as sucky as yours

  • you have a bueatiful sole god bless you : 3 >

  • Au weia.....wärst besser noch was länger zur Schule gegangen^^

  • You're soo cool

  • your hott :3

  • "its just looks like crap" hahah my favorite part

  • i don't know, hey here's a suggestion. how about not giving a shit about the cover but focusing on 150+ pages that it contains?

  • cud u stand up for a min :P

  • ....um -.-

Go to shrink dude, that's not the way to get a woman's attention. Even I know that!

  • Är du svensk??

  • Hahahahaha mais putain je capte kedal a ce que tu racontes ! Pourquoi tu parles sans bouger en prenant des tubes en plastique ?! A l'asiiiiile !!!!

  • Let us commence in love making, until dawn.

  • creap

  • Uhh........ uh.. uh...

  • u are so alone

  • yur hot ... but yur also so fucking dumb.. what is the point of this video anyway ? trying to make money off youtube ? hah

  • How is that for someone from Sweden you have almost no accent?

  • they speak a lot of english in sweden.. look it up gennnnnnnnnius

  • Cause we 're good in english in Sweden :P

  • like the vid :) and the Jay-z song in the bakround^^

  • i love your accent! why do you have to do that for university, don't you buy your own books? I've only ever had to cover my books in middle school... they gave us papers to fold over the covers or you'd put a paper bag over it... I didn't do that though, i used the clear sticky stuff (but it was um... re.. restickable. that's not a word, but whatever)

they have fabric ones that you just kinda stretch on there. probably wouldn't work on paperbacks. why cover paperbacks anyway?

  • So clue me in to what the fuck the point is of this?

You make a video about your inability to put a plastic cover on your books. Interesting...very .. very.. interesting.

  • Then don't watch it, biatch.

  • i fucking knew you were swedish, man hör på dialekten dirr!

  • i watched a few of your videos. you are very pretty. You seem to have a little bit of an accent. Do you speak another language?

  • Swedish

  • How dum are you.. i do that to my books since i was in the first grade...

    Be pratical woman...

  • hahaha

  • AIRHEAD!

  • Stick it under your matress for a day and it'll straighten out ;)...more you do the better you get lol dun give up

  • If you want I can show you how it's done a lot easier =)

  • Amateur. Rofl.

  • christ this is boring...but I still managed to waste a few minutes of my life watching. I'll never get that time back

  • ...no one said you had to watch the whole thing. Go play warcraft t(' 't)

  • Hey Emma, I used to help my mum cover hundreds of books when i was a kid. All i can say is practice makes perfect. I think its not necessarily important, especially if you are only using them for half a year or so, but if your books get wet or something along those lines it may prevent some damage. Good luck!

  • I hope your not trying to be an actress....No, oh good because your not very good. But if your not, then good job!

  • i'm gonna be the next angelina jolie!

  • I would like to plastic you, babe!

can I have your number??? lol

  • DON'T PLASTIC!! JUST LET IT BE!! BOOKS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE PLASTICATED!

I can still hear the cricket. ;)

  • man, that sucks.. but, it cannot be avoided, so i need to say this: your eyes and your hair... wow... i could do a monolouge here but i'm sure ur too tired of comments to read it,

  • Nice video! Thanks.

Too many things are made of

    crappy plastic, for sure.

It's easier for the greedy corporate investors to turn a fast profit.

    I just subbed you.

    Stu

    (guitar62751)

  • i wanna walk around paris and amsterdam with u

  • See-through-sticky-tape-plastic-stuff. I heard of that. It's supposed to be a pretty good seller.

  • Try using something to work the bubble out, duhh LOL. No but if it really annoys you, throw the crap away and screw it, let the book live and die a long painful death.

  • ththaha you suck not fun at alllllllllllll -.-"

  • oohh you hair is nice!!

  • she is so cute

  • cute is an understatement. she is gorgeous.

  • This is a joke, right? Nobody can be this mundane.

  • Contact paper, it's called contact paper.

  • you're neurotic

  • im bored..

    :)

  • got some jay in the background h to the izzooo

  • There's a better plastic wrap out there. I don't remember the name, but it's paper on one side, and plastic on the other. It's packaged flat so it stays flat. The paper will absorb any damaging moisture, the plastic is acid free and prevents damage from spills and offers more support for the spine and covers, and it doesn't stick to anything because you use sotch tape. Only draw back is it takes about 3 tries to get good, and lots of trimmings..so recycle them.

  • and do you happen do work for the company who makes this?

otherwise you sure is a loyal consumer ;)

  • I worked in a library, it made my job easier. God bless them..3M may have something similar.

  • i ♥

    your hair!

  • Yay! A plastic wrap series! XD

    5*s and Fav'd... for uni! :)

    -Lilia

  • i make my own book covers using brown paper bags

  • put the laminate under both the books for a couple days, letting the books flatten out the plastic. then, once you've let the plastic flatten out, laminate that sucka! lol.

  • your second book already looks like crap though. scratches and stuff..

  • I remember year 7 math, first day we had to cover the new books. To cure the problem with the curling you haev to put items on either side, annoying right... then you measure the book out blah blah. To avoid bubbles get someone else to hold the plastic whilst you use a ruler to evenly spread the plastic. Yeah its an annoying process but avoids bubbles, probably doesnt make sense either maybe i'll make a video to explain. haha bai

  • i knok what you mean emma, i always have hated that plastic stuff. Is impossible to me to make tha right.

  • service management and marketing..r u majoring in business?

  • finally a new Eemma video! I've been waiting for this!

  • The only thing good about your videos is you Eemma. The plastic stuff is really boring. Why don't you make a video of you making your bed up? I see it in the background all messed up.

  • All of them expect this one from you.

  • except*

    ;P

  • IT is a conspiracy that the company that sells the useless plastic to get students to spend money on nothing!

Also, teachers require you to do it to train you in useless bureaucracy and show they have control over students.

If a book shows wear it means that you are using and reading it, which is a holy thing! Make it look like crap with pride!

    How is your mac?

  • Mm, i'll go for the "natural crappy look".

My mac is still ill =/

  • Call them up again tell them that you bought a mac and has a hardware problem, that you need it for school and work and cannot be a day without it.

" What, dear sir, can you do to help me?" Repeat the words "hard ware hard ware, hardware problem, guarantee guranteed, harware..."

  • Haha yeah, why do they roll them up? I really want to walk out of the store with plastic 40 cm wide, and 20 meters long.

  • Ha...I cant believe I watched this, but i was more hooked than what I thought....good vid

  • It never ceases to amaze me the crap people post on youtube.

  • @GitarStu

Post?? the comment you posted is crap, indeed.

it's not supposed to be the most entertaining video ever ok? it's just a different genre, where is the problem?

  • Poke pin holes in the bubbles and rub them and the bubbles go away

  • I tried. But i just ended up ripping big holes in it =/

  • You have so much evil violence inside,

    it's almost scary ^o^

  • @Eemma

I want to be honest. You are such a hottie.

I love brunettes. Would you be interested in a 28 yr old USCG captain that is athletic, good looking and filthy minded on YouTube.

  • dont bother wrapping it its really annoying and retarded i always buy it do on book and say screw it

  • you can buy plastic dust jackets which are thicker and give better protection and you can then use on other books.

  • I say, wrap it. Why make things easy and simple if you can make them compley and wonderful?

Btw, what have you ended up studying, Emma?

  • I say, fuck it.

    Service Management :)

  • I say, good choice.

WTF is Service Management? Service of what? *s*

  • Really? You say that? Somehow I can't imagine you swearing. I only swear in my head, or sometimes when I'm alone...lol.

  • You know what I did? Stopped going to school. Now my books are a few years old with no cover what-so-ever and they still look brand new.

  • Now THERE'S an alternative!

  • why are there hair transplant vids in the related thing to this vid??

  • Because "plastic" has been used as a tag. "Plastic" book covering for Eemma, and "platic" sugery for hair transplanting. I thought it was odd at first also.

  • oo lol

  • i like the video and the Jay-Z song in the background his new album comes out November 6 it's called American Gangster, but other then that great video.

  • Can't wait for his album :D

  • I can only imagine what a pain in the ass those none sticky ones would be! They would just slip away from me!

  • books..hm? What are they good for again? Oh yeah, Books!! overrated! tse... ;P

    nice to see you again!

  • oh I hate bookcovers... I just use the fabric ones.

  • First time I turned the sound off while watching a video

  • You missed something VERY important. Too bad.

  • Emma... he was overwhelmed by your natural beauty and true goodness and the poor guy just couldn't watch AND listen to you at the same time!!! Hahaha!!! He would have suffered from a broken heart and died of hopeful longing... knowing that he can never, ever have YOU in his life! Knowing... that he will have to settle for ... oh... I don't want to say because it is just too sad to think about! =P

    (hehehe!)

  • H to the Izzo

    V to the Izzay

    Fo shizzle mah nizzle

    Gotta dribble down the VA

    or something.. nice tune.

    but yea.. those problems suck!!

I had that crap too... WORST thing to

    deal with.

  • use brown paper bags to cover your books. they are way better. plus if you have the plastic on the books for too long it'll actually ruin the covers because it will leave a layer of gummy residue, its happened to me before.

  • u should use a ruler when applying it so theres no bubles

  • Is there a cricket living in your monitor. I like cam clearity though. OK bye

  • The covers of the paperback textbooks we gotta buy for school eventually get ripped and turn into roaches for the j's I toke with my professor.

Maybe that'll work for you too.

  • Try unrolling the plastic, placing your two text books on both each end, and let it sit there over night to see if it presses out the curl. Just make sure that the direction of the curl is facing down towards the surface i.e. table you're putting it on. Then it should be easier to put on.

  • Where the hell you been gurl? We were worried about you.

    Welcome back! (^_^)

  • I am so good at that!!! I wish I could do it for you, there is a trick to it. So happy to see a video from you!!!!!

    Mike

  • u have to pin prick teh bubbles and u wrap teh edges around to teh inside of the covers. lol :p

  • OHH DURASEAL!!!!!

  • Nobody has noticed or brought up how color coordinated this video is. Just about every inanimate objest in here has an underlying color schematic theme going.

"Emma," what color am I looking at? :-)))

'btw way, in case it has been brought up in a previous post, my eyes are too tired to look at more comments right now.(--)'

  • lol :P

  • So, are you going to let me assume what color You picked? :D Because I know what color it is. =p

    *spelcheck* : "object" not objest.

  • ( can't even spell "spellcheck" )

  • You can get flat laminate clear paper at Kmart for 5 dollars. I just bought some accually. Good luck!

  • i'm afraid it will be much more expensive if she buys it at kmart, plane tickets are expensive lol unless you can find kmart in europe...

  • I think they're call emart there.....

  • No kmarts or enmarts here :(

  • Well, you're lucky. K-mart is crap anyway. But Wal-Mart is taking over the world, so there you go! :-)

  • I have a pretty good collection of stephen king novels and some are 1st editions in mint condition(very expensive) and this is all i use to protect my books.

  • If you want to cover your books then go online and find a supplier for libraries materials. Then you can order book cover pre-cut with acid free paper and clear plastic light inhibiting materials. They are very cheap and you can order like 25 or 1000 whatever you like......

  • I bet they'd be expensive here. Nothing's cheap.

  • unfold the roll of plastic and put it under a heavy weight, that should help with it curling up and make using it easier. ;-)

  • I think you should not put that stuff on the other book.

  • screw the plastic :)

  • EEMMA'S BACK! WOO HOO!

  • yaay ur back :) nice to see your face again:)

    good luck with the uni!

oh man i can remember that plastic wrap and the bubbles ,first i did it also after a while i thought the hell with it :)

have a sticky day :P take care

  • nya täcket o kuddarna =D

  • hihi =D

  • ha, haven't seen you for while

but seriously, books don't need to be wrapped.

otherwise, why the bookstores don't wrap the books before selling to customers...

  • to get rid of the air bubbles scrape a creditcard from the spine outwards to the edges of the pages, make sure you wet the cover first so the card will slide more easy

  • Em, glad you mad a new vid. But we used to wrap our books for school. I used that plastic version once, and i also failed. You can use normal wraping paper. But then plain stronger paper. Greetios

  • Eemma you are so not-American. You shouldn't care about the books, punish them if you can't understand what it says inside, then burn them as soon as you have passed the exam in a ritual orgy. Why would you need to recycle/resell/save/take care of your goods if you can buy brand new better bigger shinier ones any time. ;)

  • It's kinda natural to be "not-american" when you're not american :P The way you put it, i wouldn't want to be one either :P

  • I thought you were dead. I'm happy to hear you moaning again! :))

  • I say let it live :)

    Good luck with school!!!

  • :D~~~~~~~~~~~~

    finally !

  • leave the cricket noise, it has now become a trademark

  • Good to have you back, congratulations on university! I thought the crickets were gone, then I turned the volume up and HELLO. I don't think they're bothering anyone though.

  • i'm a bit surprised by this attention for your books,it's cute. i will worry if in your next vid you ask what they eat, at what time they must go to bed etc...

but if you really want to cover them, go for the traditional emma style : flowers everywhere!

  • flower power :P

  • the best look for books is called "tired book", which means they have been opened, which means they have been read.

  • ..which means?

  • Let them age naturally like a fine wine.

  • Use sturdy, brown paper bags and then tape the inside flaps! Then you can draw doodles of Japanese Hello Kitty on the paper bag when you are bored during the professor's lecture!!! =D

    Lilia and Her Mom

    =) =)

  • "Then you can draw doodles of Japanese Hello Kitty on the paper bag when you are bored during the professor's lecture"

and you dare to sign that with your daughter's name!! lol =D

  • reply to discovercanadaooops

  • happycanadiannoops! happycanadiannoops! happycanadiannoops! happycanadiannoops!

    hehehe!!! lol!!!

  • happyswedishnoops! happyswedishnoops! happyswedishnoops! happyswedishnoops!

    hehehe!!! lol!!!

  • happyfrenchnoops! happyfrenchnoops! happyfrenchnoops! happyfrenchnoops!

    hehehe!!! lol!!!

  • *rips plastic off and starts covering them in paper*

  • Congratulations on commencing University. A really good way of applying the "plastic" or "contact" is to use a ruler to smooth out the bubbles. If you are going to be using the books intensively throughout the semester, I would cover them.

  • thanks :)

  • One side with the wrape. One side Au Natural. Let's make it a contest until the end of the school year. OH my... I just love the excitement of having sumthing to look foreward toooooo. OK that's my idea.

  • Eemma, there is a different kind of plastic that you can put on your books. It isn't that sticky to touch, but it sticks to books! I think it's made my 3m..... it's not 100% translucent and it has little squares imprinted on it....but it works so much better! try it!

  • 3m?

  • 3M Company, formerly Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company until 2002, is an American multinational conglomerate corporation with a worldwide presence.

It produces over 55,000 products, including: adhesives, abrasives, laminates, passive fire protection, dental products, electrical materials, electronic circuits, optical films, and supply chain management software.

  • Save your time! Dont do it :D

  • Marry me.

Oh, and old school paper bag is the way to go.

  • Welcome Back!

  • Practice makes..... better?

If it makes a difference what they look like when you go to sell them I would, otherwise I'm not sure I'd worry about it. :)

  • i just go old school and use a paper bag inside out

  • No, just buy the used books and learn what's in them and let them be, crumple pages, underline, spill coffee on them, use'em up. Keep the knowledge, lose the old books...it's just more crap you gotta move when you leave uni, and we all know moving sucks!....btw, wrapping books? you should be going on dates and breaking hearts! ;)

  • My books are priority no. one ;)

  • LMFAO emma im not gonna lie the title plastic fantastic and then the picture on the video before you watch it is sooooo funny...

  • I really don't see how much you can prevent those paperbacks from damage with that plastic wrap. Save your time, put it in a plastic bag if you're gonna travel with it and that should work the same way. If you REALLY want to protect your book cover, use some hard board to reinforce it before wrapping.

  • Measure it with the protective paper on it and then roll back just a little bit startit all lined up on the edge of the cover the side out from the spine of the book and lay down just a little at a time and use a credit card edge to remove the bubbles as you go... removing protective paper only for the section being applied to the book. FUN!!!

    Glad you are back TOO!!!

  • Books like to be used, and used hard. Don't take it out of the game. Let it develop it's own personality and let it tell your story as well as it's own. Every crease and little rip is a badge of honor worn proudly by a well used book.

  • I've skimmed through the comment before replying myself and thus come to the conclusion that I have a very dirty mind.

When I see "plastic fantastic" and a not too bad looking girl holding up what appears to be a long, straight, hard, plastic object, I don't think schoolbooks, I think a lot of things I shall not name here, but not schoolbooks.

You've shown me another side of myself Eemma, hahahaha, thanks :P

  • you both suck!:P

  • You should just use see-through covers. It doesnt have to be the sticky kind. Just wrap it around and use tape on the edges etc. We did it in elementary school ;p Glad to see you back btw.

  • paper bag it...
