@Ge0vone put a relay across the two ignition wires used to engage the starter motor on the back of the ignition switch. Take 12v and put that to the crappy start switch, then to the relay coil. All you are doing is putting 12v on the relay coil which closes a contact, which is like turning the key to start. very easy but pointless.
soooo u have to put the key in the ignition and turn the key to power up. THEN you press the start button, but u have to Hold the start button until the car cranks... i say Epic Fail.

Why would he have to show you the key? He's hold the camera with one hand and pushing the button with the other hand...I doubt he has a 3rd hand that he can turn the key with.

I agree with Hardedge25 . plus i'd rather put the key in THEN press the button, it's just better than having a key fob not using it but having it in your pocket. that's weird IMO.
Whether or not it's pointless is subjective. Push start buttons are just really cool, so if you enjoy using one and it looks cool in the car (this one does), then it's not pointless at all, especially not at a mere $40. But if you want a more practical and also standard keyless ignition system, I'd bet money that the Si models will have them within just a few more years. Hell, a lot of Nissans have them, so they're not just for high-end cars anymore.
Costed about $40 dollars total the s2000 push start, relay, and radio shack wires. Very easy install for anyone.... Also you can cut the main acc wire so you cant start with the key anymore.
Ok wait wait wait let me get this, you spent all that money how ever much it was to get a button that will start your car if you put in the key and turn it a little but not once more to actually start it? AWESOME. besides that nice system sounds great and navi theme is slick too.
