  • My great grandfather had to swim in Titanic, but he got drunk and didn´t catch the train to Southampton.

  • i think that this video is very good

  • It was built of bad steel

  • my greatgrandmother was in titanic but she survived because she got in a lifeoat

  • No, there was no real Jack Dawson. There was a man named Joseph Dawson though, and he is the "J. Dawson" that Cameron stumbled upon after filming.

Joseph Dawson was a barber on the Titanic.

  • my great grandfather was on the ship when it sank. unfortunately he was a man so he didnt have the authoraty to be on a lifeboat.

he died along with 1800 others, may they all rest in piece...

  • According to James Cameron...Jack Dawson was a real person but James Cameron said he didn't even know about him until after the movie had already been filmed or Jack Dawson's name had already been decided on.

  • Of course they weren't real people. They just injected a fictional story into a historical background. Hollywood does it all the time.

  • rose and jack were real people but they changed there names

  • I know they were actors

  • oddio che bello il videooo

  • Sigh. Did you have to spend 50 hours on each picture?

  • Best song you know

  • the ship wouldnt sunk if they hit that ice berg.

but praise the people who died from the ship.

  • It wouldn't have sunk if it hit the iceberg? You mean it wouldn't have sunk if it didn't hit it. And that's quite obvious.

  • @Zagman177 I think what he ment to say is it wouldn't have sank if they hit it head on. In that case only the bow compartments would fill. Unfortunately the perforation extended to four or five watertight compartments, which was too much for her.

  • Sorry, I can't find my comment! It's not there, and it's been so long I can't remember what I said. What did I say?

  • Wow.. that's... wierd :|

    Shame THEY didn't know that..

  • Also, Thomas Andrews Jr recieved a telegraph saying the iceburgs coridents but then he just ignored it. So that is also why this beautiful ship sunk.

  • @SonnetDiamonds Thomas Andrews didn´t get any telegraph.

  • that was a great movie.

  • titanic acctually didnt have any one on the ship named rose or jack so they made all of that up jack and rose never existed

  • Out of 2300~ people on board, not ONE was called Jack or Rose?

  • well i think it's a true story or its based on a true story and if you would go through the papers you would never find paper of jack because it wasn't his ticket

  • There was a man who's initials were J.D. and his first name turned out to be Jack but his last name wasn't Dawson. They were careful to come up with completely fictional characters.

  • Rose was real, she only died not long

    ago.

    -True.

  • yeah but her name wasnt Rose but she suvived the tragedy and helped make the movie

  • @xAliciaCyrus

It isn't true. In official list of passanger of Titanic isn't Rose de DeWitt Bukater. It' s only gossip :(

    What's a shame!

  • @xAliciaCyrus no she isn't, Cameron himself said he made her and jack up to get people interested in the sinking of the Titanic...

  • @xAliciaCyrus Not true

  • They did, but they weren't called Jack or Rose

  • The story of Titanic is really sad! All those people died on that ship because the people that designed had said that god couldnt sink that ship and all of those passengers believed them. The ship was too big with to small a rudder, so it couldnt corner, and also, the water was very calm so it made it harder to see the iceburg because there was no breaking water at the base.

  • Sorry dont mean to be deemed as offensive here at all, but thats not strictly true, well at all really, I mean they could have taken more responsibility, I mean Thomas Andrews Jr did actually at the end why he stayed in the ship when it sank.

But Harland and Wolff never actually made the claim that it was unsinkable, that was infact White Starline, Andrews just said hed designed it with compartments that could take water making the chance of a sinkage allot less than previous ships they'd built

  • Also it was made of iron, which is too weak, they needed a stronger metal and more layers or thicker sheets.

  • It wasn't the Iron but the Iron rivets which were found to be faulty.

  • @Zagman177 yeah!i heard they ahd cheap metal and it only took 3 years ships take 10 years or something like that

  • whats the name of the last song?

  • either songe d'automne or nearer to god or something along those lines

  • i find it amazing that the Titanic movie was capable of pulling such emotion out of such a relatively small tragedy. I think it's how it draws out each individual death and then cuts to hundreds of people dying, which gives more impact rather than just random people exploding, like in other movies. Honestly, the music helps a lot, as it alone could make a person feel sad. Titanic was a film masterpiece, although if such effort were put into a larger tragedy, the effect would be simply amazing.

  • Titanic Tradgedy!! Titanic was builded in 1907. Then April 15, 1912 R.M.S Titanic was sinking because it struck an icebreg at 11:40pm and at 2:16am Titanic broke apart. Titanic broke apart because it renched 30 degree angle the when out then it broke!!

  • It's not R.M.S it's R.M.P Titanic!

  • @dekerina It IS RMS Titanic!

  • wow that was the best !!!

  • Honestly , I do believe that, if they hadn't made a movie about this tragedy in 1997, problably so many people wouldn't care. Don' tell me I'm talking shit , but history is full of tragedies, but what really gets me started? People who cares about those things only after they watched a movie made by someone who first cares about moneys obviously.I'm sorry but I had to say that.

  • I am glad you think that to!

  • The brits said "God himself couldn't sink the Titanic"; he didn't have to, something that was formed from the Earth he created confounded man and his arrogance and ignorance.

  • God is imaginary.

  • this kid in my class his name is bronson his grandma survived this tragic accident

  • You might be so lucky to have him as a classmate if I had Grandmother survived also I would want to tell me the story everyday....

  • its been 97 years since it sank

  • my heart is explode

  • Every time it makes me cry, if i would die i die on titanic

  • Comment removed

  • gosh this makes me cry!!, its just soo sad

  • If it was me doing a video on the actual ship: I would probably pick something that came from 1912...but that's just me.

  • If i could choose how to die, i would die on titanic, but of course i rather live

  • What a Prick.

  • yea... christine, like u just wanted to sit on it be in the sinking n survive right?? yea i picture what id proberly do if that occured :o

  • no żal czemu to nie jest po polsku

  • hi, my name is christine, i love Titanic too, do you ever feel you were there?

  • Every time i c this movie, i asked my self if i could of survived if i was on that ship

  • It's the same 4 me! =(

  • i would go down with it if the titanic goes i go

  • hi, my name is christine, i love Titanic too,do you ever feel you were there?

  • READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rod Serling (of the Twilight Zone)knew that the Lusitania was a far more important ship than the Titanic. He wrote an hour long TZ ep where a man went back in time to try to stop the Lusitania from getting torpedoed (and thus bringing the US into World War One where as the Titanic sinking brought no country into anything).

  • What the hell!! The Lusitania is an ugly ship Titanic was way better. Why didn't they make a movie about the Lustania if it was so important. No one can beat titanic. It was so amazing. The ship was so beautiful and so fascinating! Just face the facts that it is way better than the Lustania,.

  • i want the title and author of this song(not my heart will go on)

  • 'Hymn to the sea' of the Titanic soundtrack.

  • people what is more sad twin tower or titanic

  • The sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff in 30th January 1945 - about 9000 people died.

  • ahh taka tragedia brak słów;((

  • Great video mate, but can you get rid of the text in the middle of the screen, cant see the pictures in the backround, have a scrolling text along the bottom or sumfin, but as said, it was still the great clip to watch with lots of real photos (and not a tonne of movie references/pictures). Cheers

  • the first picture is so nostalgic =[

  • ooo yes miami!!....it's true...............

  • for me the best movie ever!

  • Me too its so sad every time I listen to it I start crying =[!!!

  • I love this music. it's called Hymn to the sea. I could listen to this melody all day, and want to hear it once more. It's truelly a tragedy on what happened to the Titanic.

  • I went to the exhibit in Denver and they had real stuff from the titanic! They even had a real iceberg that you could touch!!! My name was Nella Goldenberg and I lived!

  • r u said truth. how they can save iceburg.and who r u goldenberg. can u something discribe

  • It's the truth! It's an exhibit here in Denver and it's ending Jan 16 : (. I'm not sure how they kept the iceberg cold but it was sure real. And about Goldenberg all I know is that she was a dog lover and that she lived in Paris : ).

  • Tha's BS., not from you but definitivelly BS.

  • its so sad..

  • at the end it plays "my heart will go on" though.

  • Oh God when I watched it I was crying...Prawie:)

  • you spelled ''undeveloped'' wrong.

  • to think it was so beautiful and it became sooo rusty!!!!!!! SAD!!!!!!!! :(

  • This Sunday I'm going to see the official Titanic exhibit in downtown Panama City, Florida. Over 100 actual items from the wreck itself have been brought to the surface for this traveling exhibit. Everyone gets a ticket with a passengers name and at the end of the hour and a half tour you find out if you survived or perished. I've heard great things about this tour and people even cry. I'll write about it after I see it Monday.

  • i went to that exibit. so sad. my person was a third class passenger in his twenties travelling with a friend. sadly, both he and his friend died.

  • Yes, so sad, I have always felt sad about the Titanic tragedy. Anyway, my person was a first class woman named Mrs. Hippach...she survived! My wife was handed a third class male passenger's ticket and he perished. But, the exhibit was very well done. I remember the porthole and looking through it's cracked glass...thinking to myself someone probably peered through this very porthole in the year 1912. ......wow!

  • i went to a museum and it had all sorts of exibits onhistory and tradgedies. they had a pipe that was about the same temperature as the water where the titanic sunk; maaaaan. they would've died after 2 minutes in that water.

  • ummm...... i see the word "tradgedy"spelled wrong

please i dont wanna start a fight im only 8 years old

    nice video

  • i blame bush

  • Awesome LUV TITANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • in real Titanic there was no hero or heroni there was a sailor saving others lives n he died

  • floyd 1504 im not gonna argue this with ypu for goodness sakes what are 12. im just stating basic facts that i know of from info that my elder relatives no about becasue a number of them used to be ship builders (jerk)

  • i felt really sorry for the captain coz as they say-the captain must go down with his ship, poor man :( and all the people who died!

  • at the end of the day it happened ok, it wasnt anybodys fault really! search it on wikipedia they give lots of info about things!

  • cont. from other coment..even if the ships realistic point of view, has died

  • no mere misfortune could make the titanic not the grandest. No eternity could stop the iceberg, but long live the world's grandest liner ever.

  • amg mun gemisi

  • fuck off you bastard. do you really expect people to believe this. I've not been killed by a giant chewing gum yet.

  • idiots with chains "please don't read this!" well if we're not supposed to read them then dont post them

  • A couple of thousands years ago, in a city in Europe, they would kill visitors by hanging if at the gates of the city they did not say the truth about what they were going to do in the city. For example, if someone declared at the gates that he was going to sell apples, and then he did something else he would die by hanging.

An old philosopher came to visit the city, and at the gates, when they asked him what was he going to do in the city, he responded: "I came to the city to be hanged."

  • it will always be the mightyest ship off all

  • i can't listening a song b\c its too sad...

  • stupid ice berg if it wasnt 4 that stupid ice berg titanic could still esist................maybe im not sure

  • not only the iceberg... The people were stupid: not enough boats is the main reason. High speed is a myth but could have also been a reason. And the fact that no one responded to the fireworks, that is not only in the movie, it is a fact. It is not the iceberg fault, he was just floating there.

  • as i write this it is Thursday, April 12, 2007 8:48pm (central canada). i am about 2 days away from the 95 (yes, 95) annaversary of the sinking of TITANIC. im gonna watch the movie @ 11:00pm (central canada) and attempt to stay up ALL night long in honour of those who died on that great ship.

    PS: my rents dont know

if anyone else wants 2 pay tribute on that special night u can do the same.

  • I don't think that's funny! I did the same thing too! The ice is super cold....

  • at this museum in manchester (UK) they ad an exhibition or whatever theyr called, and they had this big huuuuuge block of ice n they said to put ur hand on for 10 seconds n the water was 5 times colder than tht. rlly quite intrestin lol

  • This Is Sad "(

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some Old 1930's famous ship tobacco cards, including the Titanic, Bounty, Mayflower, Golden Hind ....

  • its a really sad story but i like the video.

  • PLEASE READ THIS: In 1912 Some People In The Very Cold Water Got Saved But Other's Did Not. But Many People Go To There Reltives Grave Sites To Give Flower's & Pray To There Love One's Every Day Plus Some People Can't Stand It. Example Mrs. Molly Brown Was Born 1867 In Missouri But Died In New York City In 1932. She Was Very Very Rich. And Her Husband Died Before She Did I Herd. And Then She Got Remarried. Thanks

  • i realy dont like the movie that much becase it showed officer murdoch killing a pasager before he shoots himself.

  • There is absolutely no evidence that Officer Murdoch killed a passenger OR himself. That part was simply Hollywood movie making. Which is absurd to make up things for a movie when what really happened was more than dramatic enough.

  • The story of Titanic is very sad story. Titanic was indeed probably the most luxrious liner of its time which gave birth to what we now see on today's ocean liners. But where she was luxurious. Her designers failed her in safety. She was badly organised in many areas. Not having bocoulars on the night of the sinking. Sailing too fast into a known danger zone. Too smaller rudder in which to make such a large turn, I think Murdoch thought he was driving a yaht, not a 900ft long ocean liner!.

  • The Titanic did have binoculars. The real problem was as you said, not slowing down at night in an area of ice- and other ships warned of ice via wireless communication. Accidents happen, even today, and they always will.

  • floyd1504...the rudder of the ship was far to s,all to aloow proper steering, also the rivets in thje front were of cheaper metal, so they could be hand driven

  • Saxman1806

because they were of a cheaper matel does not mean that wss a flaw!!

in actual fact the rivets were made of a higher grade metal than most of other ships of the time!

Also did I say her rudder was perfect? no ;)

  • the story brings me to tears evertime. mankind wants to be able to conquer nature, but well never do so

  • Amazing ship, bloody shame it was flawed, and the persistant chainmail isn't helping!!!

  • oldfieldnut332

    Sorry, flawed in which respect?

its been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that her steel and rivets were of a high grade! and not made brittle by the cold, as the american's first tried to make out.

  • sorry looks like i havn't checked my mail in ages, well the hull is of news to me but it is true that the rudder was crude and also the turbine engine couldn't engage reverse? i know theres more i just can't name them right now (off the subject a bit judging by your name your a floyd fan??)

  • yeah true, the rudder was crap, but every ship in that day was flawed in some respect, lol

an no floyd is ma name ;)

  • what a great song!!

  • all you people are gay

  • this is a very nice song, suit this movie very much

  • I cried at the nd wen ever i listen to tha song it makes me cry so does the endin

  • i luv this movie! its so sad! i always cry whenever i see it! its really romantic and at the same time alittle disgusting! who wuz the one who played rose she looks familiar in a new movie with jack black!

  • kate winslett. the holiday

  • The name of the third ship wasn't Brittanic?

    I think it was Gigantic?!

  • According to press reports, the third "Olympic Class" ship was to be named "Gigantic",but was changed to "Britannic" {one t,not 2}after the Titanic diaster.
