  • how is this engine fueled

  • @TheMiditzermad - This engine, and the majority of the other live steam engines in my videos, are gas fired. We use either butane or butane/propane mix. Sone of these small engines may also be alcohol or coal fired. The one in this video is manually controlled, but many are radio controlled.

  • Chris, A great video. I have fitted my new locomotive out as "The Earl " . They are very nice models and run great. Yours sounds much improved with the new chuffer pipe.

    Charles

  • Thanks Charles - it would be nice to see a video of your Earl running in the US!

  • Thanks Mark!

  • Fantastic Chris, I never thought you'd do this! ;) hahaha! I love the valve gear on these things, fantastic to watch!

  • Thanks Pete - I didn't either! I have only had moderate success with chuffers on Accucraft - but perhaps the slide valves make the difference. And ou are right about the valve gear!

    Cheers Chris

  • Brilliant video Chris, The Countess sounds great with it's new chuffer! :)
