@WhiteStripe44 you got to make one you really like so you stick it through, I like creating a back story for mine and roleplaying a little bit to add some depth and character development. Make a home base somewhere and from there start adventuring, you might like a recluse strange wizard or a heroic knight, or a thief on the run. just some ideas.

@Aetricify Yeah, it takes it to move all that stuff into place. A lot of saving while setting something up especially for the books, those were tricky. Some stuff will fall when you enter the cell but if you put it on the brushes real good then it should stay put. Funny story - one time I entered my house and a book shot out and started bouncing around the room knocking stuff over, I had to actually chase it like it was living. Good luck with setting up the castle, plenty of room there.

@tommygunner321 Thanks for the comment! When you first purchase it it's haunted and run down, basically you just complete the quest "Where Spirits Have Lease" then the house is repaired and all the furniture added. Don't put anything in storage there till you finish the quest, after the house is all fixed up you can store stuff in any container for all time.

I played around 600 hours of Oblivion and just recently played through Morrowind. I'm sure bethesda is bringing the best aspects of those titles together along with new exciting stuff. I can't wait.

I agree, the male elves should be tall and slender too. or rather you should have the option to change the body to whatever you want, funny they don't include that option in the character creation... seems like a no brainer to me. The clothing I'm wearing is the Drothmeri Tunic from the Mehrunes razor expansion, looks good eh?

@runekey You complete the quest and the house is just fixed up from being a haunted dump. Everything at that point is all you will ever get for the house and what you see in my vid is what I set up myself.

@OblivionicNitrofish Yep this is my main character, I have another video showing all my maxed attributes and stats if you're interested in knowing my birthsign, major skills etc... check it out. As for any tips, I would recommend visiting the UESP Wiki, it has everything you need to know about oblivion. I wouldn't worry about screwing anything up, just do whatever quests you want and adventure around, just have fun. I didn't even touch the main quest. I'm not xbox live at all these days sorry!

@gearlockT i use UESP Wiki im working on a perfect character with basically all artifacts and everything and just recently screwed my character up even though it wasnt my fault. I put my blackwater blade on a table for display then went to the basement and came back, wouldnt you know it disappeared. I think the mean maid that works for u at BH Castle stole it >.> but i have no idea what happened so i am now making extra copies of all artifacts :)

As for battlehorn I haven't really used it that much, it's my main home for my orc character but it's not decorated like this. If I decide to do it up and make a video I'll send you a message.

Wow this is amazing! I wanted to try it, so I went through the troubles of buying the house, doing the quest, copying paintbrushes. But then unfortunately, I found out the glitch won't work, if you have Shivering Isles installed. Soooo... I was unable to hang my weapons and stuff. But your house is really cool, and it must have taken a lot of time and patience. Great job!

Do you play on the PC with the Unofficial Oblivion patch? The Unofficial Oblivion patch fixes the paintbrush glitch so they won't float. I have the game of the year edition and the Shivering Isles installed on my Xbox 360 and the paintbrushes still float and the paintbrush jars still rock.

@halo3dia Yeah I couldn't find some of those books anywhere else, having +100 chameleon helps, I have stolen a lot of shit. I only killed one guard with a poison apple and stole his gear, every other city I stole from the castle barracks.

@halo3dia If you enchant or use sigil stones do 20% chameleon on a piece of armor you can make them stack. Use as many as you need for 100%, then you are absolutely undetectable.

My house is in Skingrad so it's a bit different layout :P, I was considering moving my stuff over to Benrius Manor before I get too far in, should I? I think Benrius is a cooler house, I never did the Manor quest until later though.

@Poundpup0034 Thanks for the comment. I have the Skingrad house as well but I like Benirus more, it looks cool, it's got a lot of room and prime wall space for hanging stuff. If you dig Benirus manor move there and start fresh. If you have a lot of loot to move I would suggest stacking powerful feather potions and spells to make less trips. good luck!

@Poundpup0034 Awesome, have fun setting up your new pad. The cloth shelf I came up with myself, never heard of anyone else doing it. It's really great being able to set everything up anywhere you want, and it takes skill as well. You get a good feeling when everything is set up and looking fine. @Vulgrun The ps3 game of the year version won't allow you to use paintbrushes like this. They will drop to the ground like anything else. Other versions for the ps3 work, good luck finding a copy!

@gearlockT no prob and in my oppinion there should be a download that upgrades the anvil house to look like that and to make otherer mansion sized houses to be made in that style so like having weapons on the walls like that and that brings me to my next question, how were u able to put the weapons on the wall like u did a good example would be at 5:12 in the video when u have stuff on a slante and the axes crossed like they are and 3:59 is another great example with the three swords

@pissedoffgeek Yeah it would be nice to have a built in option in the game for hanging weapons, there are sword hangers in some of the houses but they don't work, at least oblivion had this glitch so you could do it anywhere. As for the axes and swords I have crossing each other, you just need to place paintbrushes like *.* for axes and *. .* for swords. Make sure there is hardly any space between the brush and the wall. The weight and edges should keep them on there together well enough.
