That would be so cool. I see instructions for my Mac on the Web, which say an icon will come on the desktop - but that isn't happening. I don't want to damage the unit, either, by pulling it out without going through the proper steps

thanks but playing music during the playback makes it difficult to judge the sound quality of the recorder

@BiohazardProductG3 the music in your video interferes with listeners ability to judge sound quality of the recorder. i wanted to know how playback sounds so my suggestion is don't play music in your video so viewers can clearly hear what the sound of the recorder sounds like.

@anarcris thats not the digital recorder that is being recorded in the beginning. there is one point in the end where i do a test of the quality of the recorder, i also stop the music at that point.

I'm interested if i push REC and place in the jacket is the option to protect buttons from turning off recording?

@Mexis25 yes there is. the hold button on the side of the device will lock the buttons. when u push record, push the hold switch and u wont have to worry about miss pushing a button. hope this helped :)

@BiohazardProductG3 I am looking into buying this as well as a mic to plug into it so i can record the audio of my film seperatly and then dub them over the video later. So mics are compatable with this? and the quality would be better than an in camera mic? Any info you have woud be great!

how is the line in recording for the deivce I am thinking of getting this and hooking up to our sound board when we do away events.

Would this do a good job? also when you hook it up to usb are the does it detect it as a external drive ?

@ocpud2999 when you hook it up it recognize the device as a mass storage device.

as for sound board. uumm.... well if you have 3.5mm male to male cord maybe you can hook it up that way and record. but with that make sure you hook it up as a mic. on the recorder, and headphone jack to your soundboard if it has one.

for recording music, its pretty good but your not going to get bass sound, but if you would record with it, use conference.
