Ok, Here's a little law lesson: 1. Civil Rights are not up to popular vote. 2. This is not a NEW right. Prop 8 and others like it (DOMA) have stripped existing rights away, rights that are protected by both fed and state constitutions (equal protection and due process clauses) 3. Whether it goes to US Sup court or not, Calif will have same sex marriage. Because Judge Walkers findings will be upheld federally if it goes that far and if the SC denies to review then the ruling stands. Win-win.
