Yeah you really have to slam on the keys in order to to trigger the aftertouch. I'm always afraid I'm gonna snap the key or something, so I rarely use the aftertouch feature I guess haha
Thats how I play my JX8P, i alternate between controlling it from my Kawai K3 and my Korg Triton Extreme 88. Don't have to worry about the noisy key action or the bushing failures.

does this keyboard have a sequencer? I heard you can sequence only if you have the cartridge. is that true, or bologni?
