  • I Bet The MPAA Felt Really Embarrsed When They Saw This Film

  • That's the reason why my local bakery said they couldn't make me a Pokemon cake!! Screw them!

  • Apparently Greg Goeckner saw that this clip was posted on youtube...and these are the primary people behind SOPA and PIPA, everyone! Do I sense an agenda more than ever? You better fucking believe I do! FUCK CENSORSHIP and FUCK the MPAA!!!

  • Well it looks like they cut him off!

  • Well it looks like they cut him off!

  • Is there a part7?

  • They actually submitted this film to be rated? Now THAT is AUDACITY.

    AWESOME.

  • Wow, this is like the fake legal system we have (that has gutted juries with "voir dire", licensing of lawyers, and wrongful judicial instruction after the bad SCOTUS decision in "Sparf and Hansen v USA") without even the openness or logic of precedent! You can't in any way mention other scenes? How is that an appeal?! It's a frigging return to the star chamber! Where's John Lilburne "Freeborn John" when you need him?

    VOTE LIBERTARIAN!

  • Great documentary man, fck copyright i just watched Batman Begins and Batman The Dark Knight on megavideo, come and get me!

btw 5 years in jail and a 150.000 dolars fine for a cake? really?

  • @Nicknotify Only in America

  • @Nicknotify They're not saying "fck copyright." They're not even saying that films shouldn't be rated. They're just looking for a more common-sense, more transparent system.

  • @gblatt8472 yeah i never said they said that, just that thing with the cake really fck with me

  • @Nicknotify They don't care about you, they care about people that lose them money like Megavideo, now they're shut down, thanks to the good old MPAA, the UMG, and the American Department of Justice System

  • @Malakian720 The thing about MEGAVIDEO/MEGAUPLOAD (etc) is that 1: They WERE running an illegal (or at least; Sketchy) business. The fact that people paid them to upload content (Not everyone. but a lot): And they did not have ANY sort of screening process for pirated content etc. I am not for the american government. and I really liked Megaupload! It was SUPER useful but I can't be too upset about them being taken down. Their first mistake: Hosting servers in the US

  • @Dizzi800 You forgot about number 2 and 3 :P I do that a lot too! And I agree, they should have never had servers in the US, because no body else in the world really cares, because none of the media industries have such an influence on government law! But they did have a screening process, they have videos removed to copyright all the time at least here in Canada they did. They took it too far when they removed the servers from the other countries, cuz those countries should decide not them

  • @Malakian720 They were no different than mediafire , and mediafire is backed up(who knows for how much longer now) by the Department of Justice, and I paid both of them for premium memberships, I'm just glad I didn't renew my megavideo membership. Most musicians, like Will.I.AM. from Black Eyed peas and other artists were switching to Megavideo, because of how much simpler they made money off of the service! The media industry in the US were afraid of it, just like they were napster!

  • @Malakian720 When corporations can override government, thats fucked up. It would be like CBC trying to tell the RCMP to shutdown youtube, because they have servers here in Canada for media content of movies such as "This films has not yet been rated", and shutting down all of youtube. And youtube makes people TONS of money, but that shit wouldn't skate, just like megavideo isn't skating for people outside of the US

  • @Malakian720 ha ha, I did! :P

I didn't know they had a screening process: but I know that if they were asked to have content removed: They would remove it; but I did not know that they actually screened things being uploaded.

Well, they were proseuted in other countries due to collaboration with other governments . but, really, they should have had all of their servers in another country (Like Sweden!)

  • @Dizzi800 Which I totally agree on! And they did and they didn't have a program that checked, because of the other countries laws,

I realistically think, this was all just a scare tactic, to keep us on our feet like napster,

But even afterwards, music downloading still happens. Even though Napster is realistically no more (because rhapsody bought them out last year) the government can never stop direct source downloading!

  • @Malakian720 Yeah. I wonder when the companies are going to learn that the best way to combat piracy is to come up with a better alternative? (Netflix, Hulu, etc.)

  • @Dizzi800 They should make Digital Downloads available for purchase, kinda like iTunes does, and the companies make a small royalty off the download. Simple. Less Hassle. No need to rent, and wait on loading screens to make everyone's life miserable! If the people download ALOT they should have the option to buy a 3-6 month membership to download a certain amount of movies in that range. This is already mostly available in Canada except for the last part because our companies get it!!

  • @Nicknotify its too bad cuz megavideo is shut down

  • @paleobc65 yeah, everybody knows that megavideo was the ONLY way to watch movies online.....

  • @Nicknotify alright but it was the easiest and now that megavideos gone everyones pussying out and removing their vids from videobb and videozer
