Just to clear things up. Hell may or may not be a literal place, but knowing that you (you plural, not you directly) rejected the loving arms of the Father is hell. To never get the chance to stand in His presence once all things come to an end is hell. He does love us, but even your son will seek your arms and love and comfort after he has done something wrong. God is the same, just waiting for us to go to him and tell Him we are sorry. Unlike humans, sin cannot be around God so clean up.

I dont mean that in rude way. Sometimes our kids dont know the consequences of their actions and we in a loving manner inform them. That is what the bible does-it is God showing us how not to end up in hell. There are good kids and there are bad. People seem to think that because they were born they control every aspect of "their" life. We were created from dust and to dust we will return, but God is God. It is all in love. He is waiting for all to come to repentance, not some, all!

Have you ever lied once? stolen once? has been angry at someone once? even once? then you have sinned against a Holy God that gave you life. No matter how much good works you do, you still have lied, stolen, cheated etc... The only way to the Father is through the Son of God which is Jesus Christ. By Him, your sins shall be forgiven when you believe. Would a Holy and Just God send a murderer, thief, liar, proud and the boasting to heaven? That would make the LORD unHoly and not good.

Sending us to Hell and eternal punishment for doing what he allows us to do doesn't makes me think he is a good god.
I know that he will forgive us and allow us to be with him in the eternal glory, no matter what we do as long as we believe and give him our faith(and of course treat each other living being in this planet as good as possible, that includes not trying to make others think as we do).
(I'm not catholic[tho I was born one], christian or any o' those crazy religions)

you know, God is HOLY. If you sin, even once, you still sin against a Holy God. You can do all the good works but if you sin, you sin! case closed. However, its by confessing that Jesus is LORD, and believing by the heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Once you are saved, the Holy Spirit will spiritually make you a new creature. Ok, I consider myself a Christian, but trying to "scare" people into follow Christ just doesn't work. It ends up making us look bad. If you want to be a witness, do so through more action, less words.
And the thing is: Thieves, liars, and murderers get into heaven all the time, they've just repented first.
And finally, being angry at someone isn't a sin. Jesus himself got furious in the Bible (ie: overturning the money tables)
