The 100% way to know whether they are male or female are the femoral pores on the inner thigh. Males pores are much darker and kind of in a straight line. they look like dark spots on both inner thighs near their vent. The rest is extremely vague. Our vet has been caring for lizards for 30 yrs and he told us how to sex our boy.
thats bad to see the bone really well for any lizard male or female it means their not healthy but you can also see that on the weight and thinness of a lizard but you will always be able to see it barely if their healthy and a lot if their not

MBD will cause the lower jaw to deform or stick out more than the top lip, it can also cause their tail to kink or their arms and legs will bow more than normal. Not sure what freckles you mean, all Water Dragons have dark spots, you'd have to show us a pic. Best if you are ever worried, take him/her to a vet asap.
@lizardman957 that's not true i 7 bearded dragons and I take them out places for hours at a time and nothing happened too them the only trick it not to get them stressed like have alot of ppl hold them or play with them as much . All so it some times depends on the dragon because 2 of my dragons don't like too be held by lots of ppl and the rest do and don't get stressed but you need to hold them alot so you can take them places like how I do .
I have an adult male water dragon, and he used to have a bright orange color under his chin, but it's now a dark purple color. They can have all different colors.

They were at the store for nearly a year, the lady at the store said they were probably a year and a half, and that they were the same same size when they came in. We named them Yoda and Yolanda. i think mine is a male because it has the little bulge on its tail and a huge crest on its back and tail but the spikes are barely big at all but his head is pretty wide and clorful too but hes three and yours looks way more developed than mine
im pretty sure it is because it has those bumps sticking out the side of his tail right where it joins the body, and alot of yellow around his front legs

nah i went like 2 or 3 days wthout holding it or screwing with it its body got really nice green colored with nice dark green speckles but the tail is just really dark brown

like 5 crickets and 2 meal worms each feeding or all togehter thats it so far? if so its nott hat bad cuz hes new to the habbitat, some water dragons will go cupple days with out eating at all when they are i a new habbitat.
and worrying to much is never bad, it can sometimes save the lizard .
ahh yea thats not good, meal worms are really fatty, and yea water dragons can become addited to mealworms very easy. it isnt healthy cuz they are so fatt, so you should try swtiching him back to crickets ASAP.

well there is a greater chance if they are both males that they will fight. but easy way to prevent it is have two of everything IF they are both male or female. but yea they shouldnt fight, and if they are male and female then most deff wont fight. they love having mates.

hey, i have about a 4month old dragon, and in his viv a find it quite hard to keep the humidity up, i have to spray at good few times to keep it at seventy, and it quite easily drops below 60, maybe even 50 sometimes, any advice dude?
well if its a farly new viv jus keep spraying it and the moistcher will work it self into the things in the viv. like i my self sprey it a few times a day my self lol. so jus keep spraying it and see what happens. well... what is your viv like really? is it really open? orrrr... explaiin it to me i may beable to help

and btw mine looks to be a juvenile but is thyere NO way i can tell if its a he/she because it does have VERY noticeable bones in its beck legs like you said and it does seem to have a bit of a fin growing but no spikes

umm i have a question i noticed that your CWD has a practically pure white tail but my juvenile CWD has a more brown tinted tail why is that?
will it get whiter over time?thanks

ummmm it may, it could be stressed. but yes as they get older their colour details do change.

nah i went like 2 or 3 days wthout holding it or screwing with it its body got really nice green colored with nice dark green speckles but the tail is just really dark brown

i just got my water dragon on thursday
he's only about 8 weeks old.
and he's eaten 5 crickets and two mealoworms in two feeding sessions since i got him.
is this good for a small water dragon?
cause i thought they where meant to eat a lot when they're young?
i know i've only just got him and they normally don't eat in the first couple of days anyway but i just wanted to know what yours was like lol

like 5 crickets and 2 meal worms each feeding or all togehter thats it so far? if so its nott hat bad cuz hes new to the habbitat, some water dragons will go cupple days with out eating at all when they are i a new habbitat.
and worrying to much is never bad, it can sometimes save the lizard .

yeah now he's eaten the same amount of crickets but about 10 more mealworms, he won't eat crickets anymore for some reason but he loves mealworms "/
is there any sort of vitamin dust i can get so the mealworms become a better staple food? since he's being picky.

ahh yea thats not good, meal worms are really fatty, and yea water dragons can become addited to mealworms very easy. it isnt healthy cuz they are so fatt, so you should try swtiching him back to crickets ASAP.
and my new lizard i aint sayin yet :P not untill i get a new camra to make a video lol. ever one is asking me lol.
for a tip its a tripple het. thats the morph.

i just read your guys whole conversation and mine is doing the same thing. He'll eat a few crickets but he LOVES his mealworms. I'll try to give him mealworms just like twice a week and crickets everyday.

um i took mine out like cupple days after i got him, and when igot him he was only few weeks old. but i didnt take him out long cuz he really needed propper lighting cuz he was young.

uhh mines about a 1 year and he has those spikes on his bottom neck and his upper body spikes got a lil longer and he has that bone by the tail and body is it a male?( I'll get the vid soon)

it does sound like it yes.
look on the underside of his tail, if its a male it will have pours on either side of his crotch.

ive got two babys they look like male and a female but like you said they all look like females when there young they wont fight if they are both males though will they because i was researchin on them a few days ago and it says there pretty social

well there is a greater chance if they are both males that they will fight. but easy way to prevent it is have two of everything IF they are both male or female. but yea they shouldnt fight, and if they are male and female then most deff wont fight. they love having mates.

hey, i have about a 4month old dragon, and in his viv a find it quite hard to keep the humidity up, i have to spray at good few times to keep it at seventy, and it quite easily drops below 60, maybe even 50 sometimes, any advice dude?

well if its a farly new viv jus keep spraying it and the moistcher will work it self into the things in the viv. like i my self sprey it a few times a day my self lol. so jus keep spraying it and see what happens. well... what is your viv like really? is it really open? orrrr... explaiin it to me i may beable to help

o one other thing i wanted to add. mine is a little over a foot long from nose to the end of his tail. now i told u b4 he got the end of his tail ripped off, im guessing if he had the rest of it he'd have another inch or two. how long will it be until hes as big as urs. im just so excited to see what he'll look like when hes more developed, like his tail crest and his spikes getting longer

i am now one hundred percent sure mine is a male now thx 2 u lol. i mean i was always pretty sure cuz every since i got him he had a pretty good sized crest on his neck but i was still unsure. i heard everything u had on there except the bones by the vent area. i felt around on him and his are sticking out so thx man. u've confirmed it lol

ahah well as u can see in my videos i take him out alot and pay alot of attention to him, handle him alot . not like maulin him thugh :P make him feel cunfy around you. like everytime i walk in my room he stands up nice and tall cuz its me lol. so he knows who i am.
