@BeyondBracelets Hey um, I had done the letters and stuff before, I was just saying it would be nice if you went a little slower, oh and I know. How to do those knots
@Schnejl23 Yeah... this was the second part. The first part was a half an hour long. Collectively part one and two together were 45 minutes. It's my longest tutorial.
I actually made a bracelet out of these two patterns. It looks pretty cool! and i FINALLY learned how to make alphas. I was sooo confused BUT now im not! :D
@kimmiekiwi67 You can copy them if you wantr but the easiest way is to save them to your computer, open in paint and print them. If you know how to work paint you can copy and paste them in the order you want them or just put them on the same page to save paper,
Hi BeyongBracelets, this grid method can also be used to design new patterns for bracelets, right? Like, if you want a certain pattern, you can make it on a grid, and refer to it as you make the bracelets. Will it work?
when you cut those strings off, are you worried that the knots will get undone or smth? is it bcos u tie it tightly so it wont come off? or something else? cos usually im scared if the knots get undone when i cut it.
@wonderlaady I'll usually add a dab of tacky glue to the string I cut. I never cut them right against the bracelet... I will usually leave 1/4 inch and then add my glue. Some people weave it into the back of the bracelet but I find alphas are bulky enough as it is without adding extra strings to the back- especially if you're doing multicolors.
@BeyondBracelets ohhh alright!! i get it now :) thank you very much! oh and multicolours? if its okay, i would really want to see how you do multicolour alphas! :) once you have time!
I've been wondering this, do you finish all of the bracelets that you start making in the videos? or do you just make the little sections during the videos then give up on them?
@2332Ashley I make a section then abandon the project. Making bracelets on a clipboard makes them loose and messy... so it isn't worth keeping. Besides, using 30 inches folded into 15 is easier in video so I don't keep dealing with 30 inches per side since it means I end up hitting my camera constantly trying to find the ends.
@2332Ashley the bracelets she makes on videos aren't bracelets, she uses about a foot of string just for the sake of the tutorials and probably pins them up on a cork board :)
@allthingsgirly123 For one row I suppose, but candystripes don't reverse. For a candystripe you pick up the furthest string to the left and work towards the right... then when you make it across you pick up the new first string on the left. With alphas you're weaving the same (yellow) string back and forth like a typewriter.
@LaLaLanddd123456 I don't make them often anymore since I've got carpal tunnel... it gets painful to make them often so I usually just do it to teach a set and then quit. Any bracelets I do have made/ever make end up going on my storeenvy site for sale. There's a link on my channel banner.
@beyondbracelets thankyou so much for these videos! I did a 9 letter word and it came put way better and with only one oopse, so thankyou for taking the time to do this.
To make your letters horizontal , how many boxes would you typically make on your grid ? Because I've seen them in a lot of different numbers , so I was wondering if there's a specific one.
@xdarkangelx96 I'd suggest clicking the links in the description... you'll get to see a variety of types of letters as well as how many strings (boxes) they take to make.
@cherryblossom7242 They're all the same. Links to pre-made grids to follow are in the description bar below the video. Everything in this two part video is all you need to make any letter, picture or number. Unfortunately I can't teach skill by showing individual letters... even if I showed a specific one you may not understand.
Just try to follow the guides I showed in the video and you should be fine- especially if you find a ready made grid from one of the sites I listed in the description.
I tried doing it myself and it is turning out awsome
