@MarinesInternational You don't need to speak French to do those tests, the questions are pretty simple, it is just to see if you're not an idiot. The French langage will be teached if you pass the physical tests.

après les cinq ans, le retour au monde civil en france est-il facil ou non? Je suis un allemand francophone, mais je n´ai jamais vécu en france. l´adaptation à la mentalité française civile pose-t-elle des problèmes aux anciens légionnaires?

Je n'ai jamais été militaire mais d'après ce que j'ai entendu les anciens legionnaires (voir les autres militaires) ont du mal à s'adapter au monde civile après de longue période de service, à l'armée tout est très organisé, les papiers sont faient, ils sont logés, nourie, blanchi alors que dans le civile il faut réaprendre tout ça, surtout avec la magnifique organisation administrative de nos chers fonctionnaires (civiles!) français -_-

comme chaque soldat aprés des années de service le retour a la vie civile pose probléme. légers pour certains et des sequelles plus lourdes pour d'autres.

They teach you french in basic and have multilingual people for selection so you don't need to speak a word. Things like interrogation and IQ tests are done in your language. Unless you are totaly dumb, you soon pick it up.
