The game says it's by Aerosmith and they DID cover it, but that doesn't sound like them. Sounds like Mott the Hoople who originally did it when David Bowie wrote the song for them when they were going to break up. So, the song is BY David Bowie, covered by Mott the Hoople and Aerosmith, and David has his own version as well.

To get to level hard, learn to slide down the fret so you hit red with the index finger, yellow with the middle finger, and so forth. It will take a little practice though probably about 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to it.
