how did you connect your camera to your laptop

i have an IBM T61

and i have all the programs for nikon

and ofcorse nikon camera control pro 2

but when i connect my camera nothing happen ?

I use a standard USB -> mini USB. just grab your camera and walk to the nearest electronics shop and I'm sure they can find you what you need for a few bucks.
